Zebra 2 is my go-to synth. I'm sure zebra 3 will be too. It has a straightforward interface that allows you to come up with pretty much any synth architecture you can imagine. I'm hoping they add a way to do feedback (for FM and delays etc) even if they need to add a unit delay or something.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

It's amazing - Zebralette 3 is already one of my top 3 favourite synths - Zebra 3 is going to be off the chart

Looks very good and encourages experimentation without getting in the way. I can already imagine hours vanishing into this thing. I never gelled with Zebra 2’s user interface. It always felt ugly, especially the knobs and modulation rings around them. I think this is a general problem with all u-he synths compared to the competition. But the new UI looks very fresh and precise, even if the overall layout remains the same.
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As someone who hasn't really used vector synthesis yet: What is exciting / special about it, what to look into?

Looking forward to Zebra 3 being my go to synth for sure. I've been using Zebra since the first beta when it was AU only. These days I use Diva and Hive more, but that will change.Ah_Dziz wrote: Thu May 15, 2025 6:04 pm Zebra 2 is my go-to synth. I'm sure zebra 3 will be too. Looks like a monster synth, a paradigm change maybe, and a playfield for the best sound designers.

In most ways it is exactly like Zebra 2. Any sound designer who has done work on Zebra 2 will immediately be familiar with the workflow of Zebra 3.Artie Fichelle wrote: Fri May 16, 2025 7:08 am Looks like a monster synth, a paradigm change maybe, and a playfield for the best sound designers.
The difference is that all individual modules have been re-developed from the ground up, to be better versions of the ones in the older plug-in. So sound designers will find the same kinds of modules they are familiar with, but these modules are now operating on a very different level. Some modules have been simplified (maybe the original version was too complex, and similar things can be achieved by combining 2), others have been extended.
I hope that, for those sound designers who never "clicked" with Zebra 2, we have added new clues and workflow enhancements that make Zebra 3 more fun, faster and "clickable" to work with.

With so much change. I guess Zebra 3 won't be compatible with Zebra 2 preset.
Are you planning to keep Zebra 2/HZ for futur minor update (daw, system) ?

No it will not be compatible. This has been confirmed by Urs and others many times already.
