If I were Spin audios lawyer one sure thing is that I wouldn't hire you.
Oh come on, man! read the first line of his message!

Hi!

I wrote off to Dan for the serial number for the CM version – I got a link and a serial number with very little wait.

Its pretty cool, I particularly like the GUI, very clear – good presets on board too.

Here it is working (no install issue with the latest version) in FL Studio.

Live – live manipulation of vst, vsti and midi patched instruments – it’s a mixer that when combined with a midi controller you can do a realtime performance (hence the interest of how it handles with a laptop) – I am thinking midi for light and video display too – sort of on the cheap.

I guess its possible with other software like (live).

But what’s its footprint like in a real situation – still investigating its potential.

Hi I have VMC installed, Got it as a upgrade to ASIOfx SE,ME
Real nice mixing board has alot of potential for live use.
Yes spin eq 4band and 10band are included, they sound real nice. BTW
CPU use of the program itself are a little bit, but seems to handle VST, VSTi's quite well.

I m in a land where it's hard to get CM in shops, so before attempting radical moves to get it, is the spineq just a demo or a fully working one?? is it just in this issue of cm or will it be in the next ones?? last question: any french here having an idea on how to find this magazine in france??

It's just a demo, you have to email SpinAudio quoting a reference number in order to get the full version.

Can't answer your other questions though!

Not French but you can try the CM website...you can order back issues from there.

Okay, so I got the updated installer, but everytime I try to install the cm spineq, I get an error message saying 'Unable to copy files to common folder' and the installer quits. I think it seems to be installing the 'common' folder as a read only-folder, and I can't find a way to stop this from happening. Anybody know how to fix this?

Anyone selling their used copy of CM78? I'd like to pick it up, but seems just too new to be on the 'Bay. Send me an email at leo@florb.com (mailto:leo@florb.com) Also, as far as the CM Studio goes, it takes a bit of coaching, but it fairly capable. I don't like the sequencer program at all, however. Also, the DS-404 is really CPU intensive for what it does. I do like CM-101 for some uses, and also have used the Cm-505 in a pinch.

Derek up North,
Thank you sooo much for posting.
I do give credit to Spin Audio for fessing up and fixing this mess. Remember, 6 years on Hewlett Packard are still denying that their uninstallers delete files critical to running Win 98, are still using the same uninstall code (fixing it would be an admission of guilt, I suppose), and still threatening angry customers with lawsuits for posting about their problems on the internet.
This is a wake up call for me, though. After doing a thorough cleaning out of any VSTs unused during the past year, I've recently fallen back into bad old habits- installing new VSTs, things I don't particularly need (like a new EQ), just to play. Enough for me.

I bought CM86 yesterday and I installed spinEQ but I didn't spot any mention about its registration procedure (it's a demo and sound goes off periodically). Are the registration details only in an older CM issue? Can anyone help or should I e-mail spinaudio directly?

Cheers

Zeoy: as far as I remember you have to email Spin audio with a serial number/code which could be found in the magazine. It might be on the CD now.

Thanx Armadillo. Thats what I figured out of this thread but I didn't find it. Maybe I should check again. If anyone else has the latest issue ...

I think the give-away was for one issue only but I may be wrong.
