We haven't finalised pricing yet, but we'll make it available when we do.
The product has already been heavily tested internally, and we expect it to be pretty much bug-free at this point. So, this open beta is more about giving users a chance at early access to play with it uninterrupted and providing the oppurtunity of suggesting and shaping any last-minute features that go in.
Those who actively participate in this beta will receive a discount code, likely around 20%, if they like it and go on to buy it. We understand this might not be for everyone, but it's open to anyone interested in trying it out.
For those of you who aren't and just want to hear the reverb, lots of demos and blind A/B tests are available on the site https://www.sonicacademy.com/products/vela

Hi guys, just dropped an update to v0.0.36 - some feature requests from the BETA implemented.
You should get an update notification in the plugin or you can grab direct from your account area on the site.
Here a list of changes / fixes

Here a list of changes / fixes
Code: Select all
0.0.36b
### New features
- New mix behaviour. Dry stays at 100% until mix reaches 50%, then linearly ramps down to 0%. Wet linearly ramps up to 100% from 50% mix .
- Add main on/off button in header (bypass)
- Add early reflection / late reverb on/off toggles
- Early reflections and late reverb now have independent diffusion units.
### Improvements
- Use a different tuning for the Early reflections diffusion unit.
- New scaling for both diffusion unit amounts - to reduce possibility of ringing
- Allow the frequency / Gain & Q to be click + dragged in the EQ node info tabs.
- Shift+click on EQ node to tweak Q is now less sensitive for a better control.
- Draw solid coloured dots when blur disabled.
### Bug fix
- If early diffusion value missing from xml - use the OG diffusion value so we don't break presets.
- Fix greyish grains spots stuck on grains animations.
- Smoothing the mix knob when tweaking it would not apply similarly on L and R.
- Pre-EQ and Post-EQ lowest nodes position get hidden behind the controls area preventing to grab the node back.
- Fixed: No visible Presets Changes when VELA is disabled inside the DAW.
- Fixed: late reverb not cleared after bypassing (could here previous audio "stuck" when enabling back).
- Clear all the animations when plugin is disabled.
- Fixed: presets always marked as dirty when loaded on Windows.
### IMPORTANT NOTE
- Previous users' presets with diffusion active will have an incorrect amount

Love this reverb. Super smooth.
The addition of the individual diffusion units is great.
One small thing I've found is that the little LEDs to engage things like ducking/eq are kind of hard to spot if you have a highish contrast setting on your monitor.
Caught me out the first time I used it.
Also. in the "nice to have" category would be the ability to sync the predelay to the daw in musical steps.

Yes, the feature set is excellent. When I first tried it I wasn't overwhelmed, there was some perceived graininess, but having had time to experiment with all parameters the tone shaping leads to excellent results.
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

Everything working fine so far, Win10 with Live 12. Will give it another 'in depth' spin on the weekend.

Its still in Beta... yet a first RC should be around the corner. Your patience will be rewarded, trust me.
