Actually, good idea.. but, rather than adding new graphics overheard with line drawing, all you really need is to multi-select the chords, ya know, the blue color selections as a connected progression. You could then preview it, add to the master track, or add it to the library as a progression, etc.
You may be right, but in that case, you need to somehow indicate the ordinal numbers of the chords of the progression, because the connection of chords in the chain of the progression can occur left-right, up-down and also back and forth and watch them without highlighting. And when listening, the chords of the selected chain should highlight the movement of the chords of the progression.

It's a pity that you can't drag the progression from Master Track to Scaler 3 yet. But from Scaler 3 to RC, you can))

You should be able to.. For dragging from the master track out, hold the mouse down over the master track title text with control to drag out the chords. You will see a music icon appear as you drag..

For that, all you do is use the order that was clicked to build it..

Oh yeah, thank you, it works.

There is an idea, but I have not yet thought it out, let it be as a wish that it will be possible. It often happens that some composition or sketches are designed in some specific style. For example, House or RnB and have the corresponding style of playing techniques, riffs, phrases and of course sets of chord progressions. Suddenly I would like to see and listen to how my composition will sound and look accordingly in another style. That is, for example, I made pop music and want to quickly remake it into jazz. I think that it will not be very difficult to regenerate a pop chord progression and a jazz progression (of course, preserving the basis and changing only the extensions and superstructures of the chords). Probably it is more difficult with phrases and playing techniques characteristic of the style of music (also preserving the basis of the phrases, possibly the pitch and length of the notes). And perhaps it will be necessary to create a Style Generator, which will be trained by loading into it phrases (or midi files), corresponding to a certain style of music. I repeat once again that this idea can be considered as a flight of fancy on the topic of what we would like to have in the program in the future. Thank you.

This would be the 'BIG' feature that would propel your program to the top of the charts: While in the host DAW the position pointer pretty much matches Rapid Composers needle position. That’s great... Right now the chords start playing at bar one of the DAWs time line. The feature would be to allow the user to specify a new offset (spelled out in bars or milliseconds) for the beginning of the song (where the chords start playing). I usually start my songs out at bars 2-3 not 1. This would allow the user to align the DAWs song start to when the chords start in Rapid Composer. “Much Needed” for other tracks in the DAW being loops that are not tied into the positioning of Rapid Composers midi tracks. Right now Rapid Composer dictates the chord positioning throughout the whole song. This change would decouple it. Another way to handle it is to allow the chords to slide in the master track to slide them to the position you want them.

Love what RC is doing these days.
I would love to see the implementation variations applied to a timeline selection rather than per phrase or per track.

I also would like to see use of clip launchers or scenes, same as bitwig.

It would be nice to make it possible to hold down a appointed key when dragging a phrase from the browser to a composition to adjust the length of the phrase that will be dragged. For example, I drag a phrase from the browser and hold down button 1, and then only 1 (the first) bar is dragged. If I drag a phrase and hold down button 2, then 2 bars from the phrase are dragged. And so on .This is very convenient, for example, for morphing between phrases. Thank you.

There is one inconvenience that I would like to fix (or improve): I have quite a lot of phrases in folders in my browser and I see that many of them have absolute form mixed with phrases that have relative form. It would be very good if there was an option to convert a whole folder in the browser with phrases that have both absolute and relative form into relative form. Thanks .
I would like to add that in the browser folders many phrases are still relative because in the inspector you can see the possibility of restoring to absolute. But in fact in the composition they behave as absolute. Maybe this is a bug?

In the "note forwarding" functionality, I would like to have an option where any notes forwarded would be removed from the "source" track. This would allow for some interesting "hocketing and pointillism", I think.

I saw that you added the shortcut to bring up the VST interface, but could we make that a toggle, so SHOW/HIDE with a shortcut? Thanks!

Does anyone know if it is possible to drag a region from Logic into RC as a plugin WITHOUT exporting as midi then Import to RC? I like to use Logic to prepare my RC phrase and having to export then import slows things down. Thanks!

I don't believe that is possible due to Logic. Unfortunately, Logic doesn't allow dragging and dropping MIDI like that from the regions. I'm with you, I'd love to have that. I think Cubase and some other DAWs can do that.

hello, I am new to RC and this forum. I am running the LE version on MacOS. Does anyone know if it is possible to display the browser whilst in the Phrase Editor window? I see the browser icon in the top right corner of the window but clicking on it will not reveal the browser. It works as normal in the Composition window however it doesn't appear to display in any other window.
