Can this TX16Wx plug in be used to add sound effects to my Dorico 6 Pro music notation software?

If it is available as VST3, then yes you should be able to run it.

I'm still new to this plug in and am not sure how to get a sound effect and trigger it in the Dorico program...

There are five viewing modes in Dorico, one of which is Play. In Play, you'll get a view that looks like a DAW sequencer. On the left there will be two tabs: Track Inspector, and VST and MIDI. Under VST and MIDI, you can Add a new VST instrument. Select the plugin you would like there. Once you've done that, select the instrument whose playback you would like to be the plugin you've just added, then select Track Inspector. Under Routing, select the plugin you added.
If you want to add effects such as reverb, etc, then you need to Show Mixer (hotkey F3), and you can add inserts/sends on the mixer.

Ok...got it! Thank you. What I want to do is trigger an electrocution sound in a particular measure of the piece and not sure how to do that. Is that possible?
