Maybe it’s being installed to a different folder. I’d try to run a search for it to find where it’s actually located and have your DAW scan that directory for plugins.D-Fusion wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 10:42 amI have Ilok but I have never been able to use my UAD Plugins for some strange reason.Rastkovic wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 9:43 am Sound is amazing. The plugins show up as authorized for a split second and then they got unauthorized because of the dual protection system they use (Ilok + The app).
When they offered the new offline option i tried that but this time it shows up as installed in the app but there was no uad Plugins to find in my vst 3 folder.
I have tried everything.
I Even reinstalled windows and have tried newer versions of their app when they have been released but that evil Uad app seems to hate me.

Will give it a try again now and see how it goes since i eventually gave up on their plugins since nothing seemed to work so maybe i get lucky this time.

New users be warned: the MIDI CC assignments are hardwired (as in pre-made and cannot be edited/changed) and there's no Learn functionality.
You may ask yourself: but wait, UA doesn't even make a MIDI Controller keyboard so how did they chose which CC's to hardwire the controls to? Damned if I know! Hardwiring the controls, IMO, is worse than not having any MIDI CC control at all.
If you only use a mouse and DAW automation, you may never even notice. But if you hit a wall trying to "remap" the controls...now you know.

My vst 3 folder is on another drive and i use symlink so when i removed that symlink it Installed correctly into the vst 3 folder.
The issue now is the one i have had from the start with these plugins and that is the Message saying that he plugin is not licensed so still no luck getting it to work here.

Their Mini emu is like that too, at least the last time I checked anyway.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 1:38 pm New users be warned: the MIDI CC assignments are hardwired (as in pre-made and cannot be edited/changed) and there's no Learn functionality.

Maybe they should do an open beta on reworking the MIDI side of UAFX pedals and UADx synthsFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 1:38 pm New users be warned: the MIDI CC assignments are hardwired (as in pre-made and cannot be edited/changed) and there's no Learn functionality.

Yeah, all their instruments. And then to add insult to injury, they'll have parameters that aren't even exposed to automation.Examigan wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 1:58 pm Their Mini emu is like that too, at least the last time I checked anyway.
I really think UA just doesn't "get" MIDI. I'm not calling them stupid in saying that. I just think they don't devote a lot of brainpower to MIDI Control in various areas. Particularly their VST instruments and UAFX pedals. It's just not their thing. But for a virtual instrument, it's pretty insane.

If you don’t have UAD, don’t get it. Not worth the hassle.
In addition to lacking common midi functionality for software synths, it also lacks even one modulation slot.
I still believe this is a good synth that could’ve been great, had it not been abandoned and forgotten. I deleted it last year, I think it was. Too many great synths to settle for good.

I will say this; to me, the preset system experience for UAD with it's pop-out browser is horrible.

Maybe a bit too overdramatic? It's just a simple synth, not Zebra. I don't see any problems here.vitocorleone123 wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 4:43 pm If you don’t have UAD, don’t get it. Not worth the hassle.

He has a lot of synths. I think in that context, what he's saying makes sense. But for someone starting out or who only has freeware, I think we can all agree that Polymax brings a lot to the table. Combine with the Usual Suspects stuff and that's enough synths to do anything.Rastkovic wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 6:44 pmMaybe a bit too overdramatic? It's just a simple synth, not Zebra.
