The sounds perhaps a bit more modern/precise which is why I said like an Arp Odyssey, but it's not quite like that either.

I like the sound of it. The 'bite'. But that's me; a non-lover of the Moog sound (unlike many who love that). I also love the clarity and simplicity of the original GUI. I just in general have some issues with UAD plugins (even though I use some) that I would like them to address as quality of life improvements:
- no double click to reset parameter to default (that should, imo be the default in any plugin)
- no integrated browser for presets (no a separate panel expanding out of the plugin to the left does not count.. haha)
- slow loading times.. I mean SLOW.. especially compared to other plugins (my M1 system is fine).. and when the GUI does finally open it shows a blurred out GUI first as it tries to call home

Alt+mouse click (on Mac) does the job.Morty-C-137 wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 9:02 am - no double click to reset parameter to default (that should, imo be the default in any plugin)

UAD haven't bothered implementing this on any of their plugins AFAIK. For some reason they think using two hands to perform a simple function like resetting a parameter is better than using one.Morty-C-137 wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 9:02 amI just in general have some issues with UAD plugins (even though I use some) that I would like them to address as quality of life improvements:

The problem is (to me) that the GUI is too wide to have the browser open all the time. I either look for a preset or fiddle around with the synth itself. So i continuously open/close the preset browser which gets tiresome because the GUI jumps around all the time._leras wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 12:46 amI actually quite like it, as you can see and skip through the full list while having the synth open.mi-os wrote: Sat May 24, 2025 8:40 pm UAD's preset browser is rather terrible. I can flick through things and tweak a bit and carry on quite seamlessly.
For some of the FX where I have made my own starting presets it's very helpful.
(And it's way better than it was before going native...)
Also, as another poster already said, the blurry fade-in when you open an UAD plugin is very irritating. It feels like waiting for nothing, just useless. It doesn't look good either, more like there is something wrong with the plugin. They should remove that ASAP for better UX.

The blurry intro I assume is a holdover from when the plugins were phoning home to check on the license. If you're new to UAD, be prepared for spam on a weekly basis (often times multiple times per week).

Right, it looks like a login/lock screen. This is so easy to fix. Just do the license check in the background and show a lock screen only when the license can't be found. There is a reason no one else does it this way.

I’m pretty sure that’s an opt-in/out thing. They’ve sent me less than a handful of mails in the last 2 years, none of that was spam (I just checked).Cuauhtli wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 1:56 pm If you're new to UAD, be prepared for spam on a weekly basis (often times multiple times per week).

No matter what keyboard shortcut/modifier, a quick double-click on your mouse is easier and faster.Aloysius wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 3:18 pmCtrl+Alt+Delete for WindowsRastkovic wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 9:56 amAlt+mouse click (on Mac) does the job.Morty-C-137 wrote: Sun May 25, 2025 9:02 am - no double click to reset parameter to default (that should, imo be the default in any plugin)
