FabFilter Basic Plugins Updated - One, Micro, Simplon

* Couldn't find a KVR forum post about the recent FabFilter updates for these plugins, so I figured I'd make one.

Reintroducing the FabFilter basic plug-ins

Our three foundational plug-ins just got a new look

Three basic updates

In the 20+ years since we originally released FabFilter One, our basic plug-ins have always looked the same. Until today. We've just updated One, Simplon and Micro with a fresh new design and a few small improvements:

• Fresh modern look
• Added interface scaling option
• Support for Pro Tools hardware surfaces
• Bypass for Micro and Simplon
• Free for existing users

How to upgrade your existing plug-ins? That's simple: just download the latest versions or Total Bundle installer and install over the existing versions. The updates are 100% backward compatible.

Personally, I really like the new graphical UI updates for both "Micro" and "Simplon." However, I'm a little undecided about the new appearance for FabFilter "One". But perhaps, the new design will grow on me over time.

I think an answer would have been to make One look a bit more like Twin with graphical EG and filter representations, but that's a lot more work to do. And as you've got just one choice of filter, not all that useful. With just the Twin-style knobs it winds up looking more bland.

But it's not a case "OMFG, you ruined it! I hate you Fabfilter!"...at least not for me.

I like the new knob design, first in Pro-R 2 (I think?) and then in Pro-Q 4, and now these updates. The old Fabfilter knob design had a little scooped area around the value indicator, and if you clicked and dragged from that scooped/cut-out area, the knob would have circular dragging instead of one-axis dragging. And I never use circular dragging, so there was basically a little cut-out on every Fabfilter knob that I had to avoid clicking on.

The new design doesn't have it, so I no longer have to worry about it. Yay.

I didn't even notice the bullet about resizable UIs - that's a nice improvement!

Is it just me, or do the UIs feel more responsive/snappier?

I like this new gui , the old one was ok.Owning the 3 plugins updated and other (Q4...) , it would be great to be able to use old gui,I really like twin but hate the V3 design,v2 was very clear

Looks better. I got the full bundle.But honestly don't use them at all... don't know. Probably because Volcano 3 is much better than Simplon, for Micro will be more fast to use Pro or stock one etc...

Simplon looks really nice, and sounds good as well.
It's fun to use, but unfortunately I can't justify the $49 price for this simple plug-in.
imo it's a. LITTLE on the expensive side of things.

I bought Simplon a long time ago for some no-brainer sale price and I probably use it more than any other FF product except Pro-Q. It's my go-to utility filter for basic high/low cut tasks and for basic filter sweeps. I have other filter plugins that I prefer for more creative needs or where the filter effect is prominently featured, but Simplon is just a great, simple get 'er done tool IMO.

I still like ONE better than Twin 3. Come to think of it, shouldn't Twin 3 be called Triplet?

The new UI's look less busy and a little more smooth. I actually like the changes.
