I'm interested in producing melodic house and chill-out music—instrumental tracks that can either enhance focus and reflection or simply create a pleasant, uplifting atmosphere in the background. My aim is to make music that’s engaging if you listen closely, but also subtle enough to blend into your environment, bordering on meditative without fully crossing into that genre.

I use the Surge XT synthesizer and understand there are free melodic preset packs available for it. I’d appreciate suggestions or direct links to quality free preset packs—especially those suited for melodic and chill-out styles. I’ve heard KVR Audio is a good resource, but I’m open to any recommendations for packs I can download and use in Surge XT for this type of music.

Any recommendations people have would be appreciated thank you very much. :hihi:

Excuse my joke, couldn't resist. :tu:
Just checking that you don't forgot about the most obvious ones.

Well, If one is going to use free packs that everyone else is using then good luck sounding just like everyone else, I'm sure you'll 'stick out'...

As to this irritating adjective 'Melodic' I have listened to a good number but STILL have yet to hear any melody so it's just a 'tack-on' to make something not noteworthy sound like it's actually something in title... Make decent music & don't tack on any label to it...
