Hi KVR Experts!
I'm happy to inform you, that there is a new synthesis method that exists. A new instrument pack (128 new instruments) first made for Yamaha Motif XF/Montage/MODX gears (they read .x3v), that was created with the new Frequency Block Synthesis method proves its existancy. This is the first ever on Planet released like that on 15.05.2025! The .x3v instrument pack file you can already download is only 21.3 MBytes.
This pack is a new synthesizer within your synth device and all voices are synthesized and not sampled, but synthesized from special samples!!!
Frequency Block Synthesis was developed and worked out by "by Den".
Here is a description thread on motifator.com:
https://www.motifator.com/index.php/for ... ad/517414/
Audio pack to listen to:
https://on.soundcloud.com/spAoq8ULG32J1qnh6
Download page:
https://denmusic.hu/index.php?route=pro ... duct_id=96
What do you think about Frequency Block Synthesis and how do you think its instruments sound like?
This synthesis method is applicable for all multilayer waveform player synths like vsts or other software or hardware synths. Recently "by Den" is preparing to build a vst synth based on this synthesis method.
I'm waiting for your replies and opinion very much!
Cheers.

If a Motif can play it, its not at all a new synthesis method, but simply some trickery in sound design... And as you explained, it doesn't even need a Motif, any 8 layers of simple synthesis can do it...
I bet you could make more money by telling your "secret" in a Vlog to a probably much bigger audience than just Motif owners... Then you might even sell your sound sets, not for that price though. Typical high quality soundsets go for maximum 40 €

Thank you for your interest! I tried to ram all info here, (https://denmusic.hu/index.php?route=pro ... duct_id=96), but let me explain all your question shortly.
About Frequency Block Synthesis:
There are 128 presets in the pack all built from the same 24 specially prepared frequency blocks (waveforms). That's the keypoint of this synthesis.
This means all voices share the same sound building blocks arranged in layers to a max of 8 oscillators in a unique variation of appearance and volume level.
The result is embarassingly complex regarding its richness in different soundings and timbres. Listen to the presets to judge it yourself.
The reason, why I apply Frequency Block Synthesis method on a subtractive synth is the additional dynamism, that is available in a subtractive environment due to time- and velocity-dependence settings, I add to my presets (though this is not obligatory, but makes a preset more vivid). By this you get to a hybrid synthesizer. Two synthesis on the same platform, and a subtractive only synth is becoming a hybrid synth by loading here 24 special frequency sound building blocks that gets on board by loading "1st sounds" presets. So after loading this pack you will see on USR1 or FL1 (depending on the target storage you choose) new 24 waveforms eating up 21.3 Mbytes on your device (in this case), and 128 presets that use that 24 waveforms to produce their sounds.
This is a standalone synthesis, so you can take this method to any waveform player (at least) 8 layered subtractive platform, even implemented into an .sf2 soundfont. Yes, I'm on the way to escape this synthesis from its recent Yamaha cage.
About pricing...
This is not a sampled soundlibrary! This is a synthesis method, you get on board by loading the pack. Someone named it "synth-in-a-pack" and I like this nomination, cause that describes it well, even though this is not a common thing, got used to.
Imagine the process: I worked out this synthesis method, I tried it, and it worked. Than I started to build a preset bank from arbitrary chosen specially created 24 frequency blocks on a subtractive synth environment (Motif XF) and you can believe, I was the most surprised person, when I finished 128 presets with sounds you can hear now on audio demos.
About pricing...hm.
Sorry, this is not 40€. I thought first about 50€ on my own sceptic way, but then more musicians told me, this worths way much more than that. One of them told me that a broken, non-working cheapest synth device costs more than 200 € on a second hand store.
But this is not my living. I'm an engineer with a lot of jobs and ideas to get through everyday. Mainlly I just wanted to build a catalogue from these hybrid presets to represent the existance of this synthesis method I can create with Frequency Block Synthesis, and a webshop seemed to be the easiest solution to set it up quickly.
At all I'm just happy with the fact now itself, that I was able to get through this and succeeded to publish the first frequency block "synth-in-a-pack" that just concides with my first ever made preset bank built with a method that completely changed my approach to sound design since then.
I know it is impossible not to be sceptic, I'm sceptic too in practice. I encourage all of you to be like that and ask me, because I may also get deeper in what I've done, and what I will do.
By the way here is a new demo from yesterday about morphing 2 presets of the pack with Frequency Block Synthesis only (no changes in subtractive environment):

So, its basically sample layering, like a Roland D50 with twice as many 'partials'
That's not new; its additive synthesis with complex waveforms.

An idiot on Set Theory:

There are 24 basic sound blocks that build up all of the 128 instruments. This is not a D50. But we may ask chatgpt to compare Frequency blocks synthesis with Roland d50?
