I have a question. I trying to get into the live thing. i have seen DSound RT player, and Brainspawn Forte. Is there any others out there that i am missing that might be better? I using a M-Audio Keystation88 midi, and Delta 44 for live....so either ASIO or WDM will do.

Rsmus7 was quicker than myself
. I just can repeat what he said, I like Minihost and EnergyXT, the first is great for quick results and a wonderful program you'd get as donationware, the second a monster-program for a price you wouldn't believe which would occupy you for weeks and months, and loads of possibilities. A friend recommended me Console once, did you try that demo? But EnergyXT and Minihost are both in their ways great.

I use ORION Platinum. It has always performed flawlessly live.

hmm, I might have to check out EnergyXT and see how it stacks up against Forte. Have any of you guys used RT player? I have used the demo and notice how stable it was. and I really like forte...its pretty stable...I only wish Sonar was this stable...guess its doing more things than just being a play state for DXi/VSTi...

I never used it (never play live) but as far as I heard Chainer does the trick.
Eventually something intelligent will appear written here. Watch this space.

I use Forte for live playing, sometimes in conjunction with EnergyXT inside it. To me it seems the best-designed for live playing (can play with a no-monitor PC, advance scenes (synth setups, etc) with the space bar, etc).
I've tried EnergyXT standalone and TobyBear's minihost as well.
Having said all that, I don't play live much, and most of what I do is on "real instruments" (Hammond organ or Yamaha keyboard), not VSTI.
