I always wanted to do an electro track didn't expect this to happen with Ragnarok but I like the result.

Session details will be added later.
Interesting track!
At first this Hochhaus vibe, rather distant.
Then you brought in those beautiful and vulnerable sounds.
Me likey! :phones:

Greetings 👽

Here's my entry for this month. I only had roughly one week to really work on the song so I am quite happy with how it turned out. Weird and fun little synth this Ragnarök 🤪

I'm looking forward to listening to all entries!

I've been brought back to my video game soundtrack drafts lately. This song focuses on an atmosphere of a lush alien world that was turned into a battlefield. Although I'm happy with the usual Simmons style drums I made with this synth, there is a strange behaviour that occurs when two that uses noise instances playing simultaneously, some kind of weird phasing/flanging effect. I tried to minimize it as much as possible, but I can still hear it. The synth itself has good tone shaping capabilities and it's CPU efficient just like all Full Bucket instruments. I really like the sound of an overdrive and chorus effects, the much needed sauce for a virtual analog.

Oh that is interesting! Instant flashback to the beginning of this millenium when I listened to Boards of pushed Aphex. Very nice overall sound. Good rhythmic stuff. :tu:

That feels like sitting in front of an old TV watching a retro SciFi movie. Epic, dystopian, industrial.

Here we are again. The slightly odd interface took a wee bit of getting used to but I'll not use that as an excuse for this effort. Definitely a lot of fun to be had fiddling with this one. And thanks to Taron for his videos for a wee bit more inspiration. This track does contain some passable bird type noises hence the unrelated reflection of a jungle in my living room. This is a first outing for my Exquis so most of it was recorded from live rather than my usual generated MIDI.

Anyway, this is brought to you with Bitwig Studio 5.3 and 19 instances of Ragnarok. The following plugins were also used:

- dpMeter5, Blue Cat's Gain 3 and KClip Zero on clip to zero duty
- khs Delay, Reverb and Stereo to tart things up a bit
- Panflow to get it moving
- Bitwig's compressor+, eq+, drum machine, delay+ and multi-note
- the inevitable Valhalla Supermassive and almost as inevitable Raum for some reverb flavours
- TDR Kotelnikov and Nova for mastering with a wee bit of KClip Zero

Also used Modalics Beat Scholar to generate the MIDI for the percussion and iZotope's Tonal Balance for, er, tonal balancing...
