Ah OK. He's not been online for a while either, so I guess there's no point messaging. Hope he's alright!

He's fine just having some rest time.

Can I record the output (MIDI FX LogicPro 11.2) as a new midi region file? I'd like to make edits on certain notes to fit into my music.

Post

Logic should let you do this natively.

Can i do midi Ratcheting with this plugin?

Post

@onerob thanks for posting. I can't get BlueArp to work, but I can record the output of the LogicPro's internal Arpeggiator. I am familiar with those stuff, but was wondering if BlueArp just don't transmit notes to any DAW?

Post

BlueARP outputs notes the same as way as Logic's Arpeggiator, as far as I can tell, so it should work the same way.

In FL Studio I'm having some pitching issues. Steps to reproduce:

- Create a new empty project
- Load Serum or any synth with "Plugin options" tab
- From the plugin options set "Input port" to 1
- Load BlueARP and from "Plugin options" tab set "Output port" to 1
- Add any notes and arp pattern. Just remember the pitch of the sound
- Close FL and restart it
- Open the project and the pitch will be shifted down until you reload the Serum or play with its "Pitch" knob

Am I using it incorrectly? I don't understand what's going on and if it was just one synth that I had to adjust on start I'd be fine with it, but now I have to adjust like 10

I'm using macos apple silicon

Temporary solution: Added an empty MIDI Out at the end of the stack and just routed it to the same port as well

Hi, thanks for keeping this thread up, I really appreciate this.
ALL I'm OK, bit these days have less time to devote to BlueARP due to more load on my day job.
A few notes on my current progress with BlueARP.
Recent months I was doing mostly BlueARP DM, especially the Control app, I still have to implement some things, like automation, which yet are only possible to edit from the DM itself. I hope to finish this by fall 2025.
Regarding BlueARP plugin, no plans for major features, I'll focus on polishing the existing functionality, more extensive testing and creating content.
Maybe (I always keep in in the back of my mind) - either compiling BlueARP for Linux or adding CLAP support, but likely I will get to that only in 2026.

The developers are Russian. I bought all their libraries. For the guitar hero controller you can as hidden feature activate in the Windows registry the Controller. They have a special struming mode that is very close to yours trigger methods. Much better than ample sound. Their pricepoint is not so much expensive. on Discount 69.- Euro for 13 different guitars. i can ask them if they sponsor you a guitar for developement. i use their presets for develope a Unify library. You need because Unify acts just as V-Host minimal one of their guitars. The guitar hero just acts for me to develope natural strumming what is in another way not possible. In fact you can ask them if they will support you by affilate or something else if you integrate special their rhythmns to Blue Arp. my developement is focused for the moment to implement in the old Unify Dolby Atmos and Effects.
Sorry, still not quite clear here who did what and how it works together ) It is clear to me that RealGuitar by musicLab is quite a powerful thing, but not clear how it integrates with guitar hero. I guess they have a strumming engine inside like ample guitar and that Russian devs created some libraries with additional strumming patterns. I just downloaded demo version of RealGuitar, will check that out soon, maybe it will become more clear to me then.
PS. You can PM me with their contacts and I will try to reach them, it will cost me nothing to talk to them and maybe we'll find some ideas for collaboration.

Hi, i am a BlueARP beginner.
I am running Linux Mint and wine, and detected no problems running BlueARP. My DAW is Reaper.
( maybe someday there will be a native Linux version???)

In Reaper, I found out how to assign several VST synths using one Midi Item. This is done by giving a note a certain midi channel. I have one VST for channel 1, another VST for midi channel 2.

So, from BlueARP i make the following settings to assign different midi channels:
see image 3

This works well. Then i set the gate time per note:
see image 2

When i go back to the channel settings however, all midi channel settings are lost:
see image 1

Why are my channels settings lost and how can i prevent this from happening?

Compiling for Linux would be wonderful!! 🙂
