Okay, I've watched the videos and I now have some words. Nothing wrong with this update, it's got some features that I'm sure some people will appreciate. But if this is billed as a "major" update then that's a(nother) major disappointment to anybody who believed Presonus would be making the upgrade price worthwhile.
And they're actually making a mockery out of people who I had learnt to respect. In one video Gregor is talking about the fact that Studio One now hides duplicate plugins (i.e. if you have both a VST2 and VST3 version of the same plugin it will only show it once) and he refers to this as a "game changer". I'm not kidding. A game changer. FFS

And the next "NEW virtual instrument" - made using the exact same toolbox as the other virtual instruments of the past releases ("Lead Architect", "Deep Flight One", "Cinematic Lights"). Really ... who needs this?

Yep...
Not sure what video you're referring to, though. I've found:
https://www.presonus.com/blogs/home/wha ... ne-pro-7-2
I must be dumb, but I got no Sub Zero Bass instrument after my update. Unless it is again a subscription only goodie? I have a perpetual license.

We all joked it'd be yet another Deep Flight reskin and they did it, lol.
Guessing 7.3 will launch in the autumn with a set of FM synth patches and some minor QOL updates. And that'll be it for your $150.

I didn’t check it yet, but you probably have to go into your my.presonus account and “claim” it. At least that was the case last time.Velden wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 4:35 pm I must be dumb, but I got no Sub Zero Bass instrument after my update. Unless it is again a subscription only goodie? 1. I didn’t pay full price for my upgrade.J Veronica wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 4:42 pm Guessing 7.3 will launch in the autumn with a set of FM synth patches and some minor QOL updates. And that'll be it for your $150.
2. I am pleased with what is offered by Presonus.

You're right. I kind of did remember something like that too, but I couldn't find it this time.Crossinger wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 4:50 pm I didn’t check it yet, but you probably have to go into your my.presonus account and “claim” it. At least that was the case last time.
You have indeed to go to your account, Products and "open" Studio One Pro 7. There it is hidden and you can claim it. I don't know why it doesn't show up with the other "Products" at the entry level, with Deep Flight One or Lead Architect...

Actually continues cursor was in my wishlist and postroll, CPU Core improvements and shift+Delete thingy are nice. And you don't have to pay 150$ right now. You can do it if you will decide there is enough value in the latest update. It can be there after year or two, but upgrade price will stay the same 150$.

Also, are they purposely trolling Windows users by adding multi-core support for Apple but not for Windows? Not 100% sure of my facts here but I seem to recall that Studio One only uses one core in Windows .... which is a bit of a shame

And I haven't checked for a while but I see I can buy a v7 perpetual licence for £99.99 or I can upgrade my v6 licence for £79.99.
Thanks, Presonus - you now value my years of investment into Studio One licences at ... £20.

They are not adding multi-core support. They are adding support for the efficiency cores of Apple Silicon CPUs, which until now have not been used for realtime audio processing in Studio One. That usage was limited to the performance cores in the last versions.dastewart wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 5:18 pm Also, are they purposely trolling Windows users by adding multi-core support for Apple but not for Windows? Studio One has been supporting multi-core for ages already - both on MacOS and Windows.

I don't mind the price I paid because I upgraded from 5 to 7 so I got all the good stuff from 6 as well, not sure I would see as much value had I gone from 6 to 7 under the promise of 4 "major" updates
