Every day we venture forward, discovering new paths and
new aspects. This very act of moving forward into the unknown,
exploring entirely new territory, is the theme of our song
"We Dare to Go":

Technically, we recorded almost everything acoustically. There are overdubs
on the drums and at some transitions. The organ in verse 2 is recorded via
MIDI. The integrated loudness is approximately -11.3 dB.

Enjoy!

I enjoyed the piece and arrangement! I love when the electric guitar chords come in, adding contrast. What effects are you using on the background vocals in the chorus? It sounds like there is a higher pitch, but I can’t tell what the effect is.

Sounds great. I really enjoyed it. And the pictures that go along with the music in the video look great and complement the song. Well done!

Thank you, jcub!

Yeah, lots of guitar(tracks) hat to be tamed - by compression
an eq! In the chorus, we simply sang high "aahs" – on the same
basic chord as the power chord guitar, but an octave higher.
There's nothing unusual about it.

Cool track Andy. The entry of the distorted guitar is great and the music is well done!
The ahhs etc. are a nice addition. I like the solo.
Well done!

Thank you, jeff!

It's nice that you also mentioned the images for the song.

Good songwriting as usual, and the mix was great, with all of the instruments and vocals nicely levelled, and easily heard. I really liked the guitar solo, too.

I have to agree that the unexpected moments are what make life exciting.

Good work :)

Of your songs, lyrically and philosophically this is my favorite. Your production makes the composition and musical ideas very clear.

This is a strong song that is well performed and produced. I think it is even more polished than some your previous efforts. Every sound is well balanced in the mix. I think the mix has also more dynamic range which makes repeated listens more enjoyable. The only minor complaint is when singing the highest notes (the word "alley") it sounds artificial due to pitch correction.

The lyrics are more straightforward than your usual offerings. It doesn't present the song's characters with decisions or philosophical challenges but that is fine. Just a nice smooth listen. Excellent work. :tu:

I like the guitar forcing its way into the song..... that's really refreshing and the guitar sounds nice... and it isn't played badly either

Yes, the unexpected moments - if there aren't too much
unexpected moments.
