There's a few keys on the tier here, but I think I'm better at noodling and programming them rather then playing. Although it's a lot better then a year ago.

Keyboard (black keys only)
Bass (recently expanding from one-string basslines to two-string basslines)
Guitar (two chords)

Don't do it my way.

I play drums, guitar, bass and keyboard all reasonably well , not a specialist on any of them though, but i think i play the drums best.

Actually I'm liking this jack-o-all-trades approach, I can be my own rock band that way, which is a lot.

Sometimes I envy "real" instrumentalists a little though.

now if i only had the guts to sing....

Would you please stop to even talk about it?
There's close to NONE of those over here and if you find one you could bet it's either totally blown up or expensive as hell!
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Piano - (8 years of lessons / exams etc as a kid)
Guitar - chords

My oldest girl (10) plays the flute, but a piano keyboard is the ticket to MIDI input so I must step up her piano lessons.

I wish I had had some sort of singing lessons. I can hit and hold a note, and have perfect pitch, but you wouldn't want to listen to it for too long

Geetar, not bad
Singing - ok
Bass, pretty f**king metel! (well, like lemmy... :hihi:)
Drums - hit em hard and can hold a good funky beat, but some of me rolls are a little ...ambitious
Keyboards - no thanks

And I saw a cheap mandolin in a shop today........

I can play guitar fairly decently but have not played much this past year been focusing on playing keys which is meager at best but I manage to actually make music (I mix sequencing with live playing) and I am determined to get better. I studied African percussion while in college but sold my conga drum years ago to buy a Les Paul Special which I don't have anymore (damn) and I at one point could play a little harmonica but don't have the lungs for that any more (damn smoking) 8)

I can play rhythm guitar (but as someone said above, I'm not a guitarist).

I can play some piano, some percussion, a little bit of flute. I played sax and clarinet in college and was pretty decent on clarinet, but haven't played in years.

The instrument that I play best is accordion. No, I'm not joking. The Celtic-Rock band I ended up playing with got to back Shane MacGowan opening night at the Viper Room. (I was the pickup accordion player for that gig, which is how I met my future bandmates). It was all great fun. And it definitely helps to play an unusual (but occasionally in-demand) instrument if you want in on the cool gigs. ;-)
