Hey everyone,

I’ve built two Windows-only utilities that should save Ableton + Reaktor users a ton of grunt work, and I’d love a few beta testers. I built this as I wanted a simple system to make Sample maps for Reaktor and couldnt really find what I wanted.

Sample Pack Maker
Drag-in huge folders (sub-folders too) → spit out lean, organised sample packs.

Filter by name, copy/move/delete in bulk, or flatten nested structures in one click.

Perfect for stripping drum/percussion loops from Maschine Expansions—or any bloated library—and repacking for hardware samplers with limited memory.

Sample Map Creator
Point it at a folder (e.g., the flattened loop folder above) and auto-generate:

Reaktor maps (ideal for Twisted Tools Ultraloop for example)

Ableton Sampler presets with everything pre-mapped

Built-in auditioning and drag-to-reorder/remove for quick curation.

A couple of screenshots are attached so you can see the flow.

If you’re on Windows and use Ableton and Reaktor, fancy giving them a spin? I’m after honest feedback before I decide what to do with them or if its worth doing a Mac version. These are my first ever apps so dont be too mean.

Hi,
I'd certainly be interested in trying out the Reaktor Sample Map Creator - there used to be a Java-based one (Choronzon, I think?) but it's no longer available/actively developed; it would be really handy...
Cheers

Thanks Andy, PM sent...

Sample import and sample map creation has been reworked for Reaktor 6, already much better than it used to be.

Just curious, what does your app adds as an additional benefit compared to the native R6 map creation? I am interested in testing anyway.

Hi, speed if anything. I built it because I like using Ultraloop from Twisted Tools which relies on loops , so I can point the app at a folder of loops and it will build SampleMaps with one click. So for instance if the folder has 254 samples in it, it will create 2 samplemaps of 127 loops. Also you can change the low and high key, so I can make samplemaps which I can merge across different folders of samples. Also the other app I made makes it easy to copy , sort and filter folders and samples and then flatten folders. So for instance I can take something like an NI Maschine Expansion, extract all of the drum loops from all of the sub folders, flatten the folder and then create Reaktor Sample maps or Ableton Sampler presets with the loops mapped across the keyboard. all with just a couple of clicks. I will make a short video a short video. If you send me your email in a PM I will send you a link if your interested,

If you ever compile a Mac version of it, I'd love to test the Reaktor sample map system.

Is the code on github, I can take a look at it as I have an M1 and 2019 Intel MBP?
