Sure. And it's sort of expanded as in there being new models added.electro wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 2:08 pm Does the evp73 softsynth engine still come built into Logic?

Every time this thread is kicked to the top, it's a reminder Alchemy is never coming back to PC. It an old wound to be reminded of when Ben took the cash..

'Camel Audio' (limited) doesn't exist anymore, the people who worked for camel audio now work for Apple- they exist and probably did well from the deal, but its still unlikely 'Apple' will developed instruments for PC!Sascha Franck wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 12:27 pmThey're not out of business. They're now working and paid for/by Apple - which is pretty much the polar opposite of being out of business.Touch The Universe wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 12:23 pm Was it necessary for them to go out of business though, why not start a new company. Seems like they just retired with all the cash - that's on them - more love of money than plugins.

Alchemy should be included in the iPad version of Logic. So there's very certainly no standalone version.SLiC wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 5:38 pm Do they develope anything outside of Logic? (No AU instruments- iPad Alchemy?)
And as far as anything else goes, as said, people hired by Apple aren't allowed to do any related businesses outside of Apple.

Thanks, that's what I thought, unfortunately Logic is subscription only on the iPad, I don't use it enough for that.Sascha Franck wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 5:46 pmAlchemy should be included in the iPad version of Logic. I wasn't a Logic Audio user but, yes, that's more pain. Anything Apple touches is pain in the long term..

Then why rebut and thus open the door to starting a longer discussion? You had the power to not engage but you chose to. So you can't really roll your eyes and claim you're upset.fisherKing wrote: Sat Jun 07, 2025 6:36 pmis it? not here, and i've been on macs for a looong time. i love my silicon macbook, having a great time with logic... and alchemy is awesome.

My comments weren't even Mac vs PC. It was towards Apple as a corporation. Absorbing nice things and thus removing them from the general population. Often not really developing on them after a time. The blob.
Not that they're alone in this but they do seem to be the one picking off Pro Audio tools the most..
So relax. You don't need to defend your purchases. I'm sure they're fine for your uses, otherwise you wouldn't be using them.

But yes, it is a timely reminder, for sure.
I sold my copy when CA said they'd sold the company -- I seem to remember we got months notice -- then got it back free added to Logic. Well, "the Mac is the dongle" no doubt, but felt good to me. YMMV.
