Is it possible to add the preset module on top of the UI instead of drop-down menus? If that's a big task, then at least a prev/next button?

Typically you either use the DAW to switch presets, or you load 12 presets at once and switch with pattern selector.
In Ableton you use the Program slider to switch presets, in Reaper there is the top bar, don't know about other DAWs.
Loading 12 presets works with in any DAW, the presets are grouped in groups of 12, goto Menu > Load > Patterns 1-12 > Load All for example.

All presets load automatically in Luna.
