Finally, the "Area buttons (Mixer/Sequencer/Rack)" works as it should!

Well that's certainly not an entirely unpromising update indeed.

Very good…it’s a finished 13 for me now, a good base to build new features on.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Moving the browser back to where it was before really adds 1000% to the usability.
Putting the browser in the way of everything just doesn't work as well.
The new look preferences and overall cleaning up of the interface is also pretty slick.
Solid update.

If only Bitwig would do the same and make the pop-up browser dockablesummer2000 wrote: Wed Jun 11, 2025 6:32 am The updated browser brought Reason back into my DAW lineup after a long hiatus.

As long as they don't implement MIDI note chase, Reason is unusable for me. Other than that, it seems they're moving in the right direction, but my subscription is on hold for now.

Took them long enough to make that browser dockable.
But you still cannot move the browser to a secondary display AT ALL, when it's undocked!
The browser should be more responsive when docked. The bottom area with Preview controls and Create button ALWAYS takes up this much space, even if all could be in one row. And there's inexplicable empty space on the bottom, because the file selector box is not resizable vertically... (EDIT: OK this is the info box, which you don't know at all until you select something in the browser.)
Is Create button even necessary when you can just double-click on entries in the browser? I would say: no, it probably isn't. It's just taking up valuable vertical space that would be better used by the browser list.
Device/Browser buttons get confused with their state when you use two displays. Try switching between Device and Browser on one display, then the other.
If we're using two displays, Rack is always on one of them, you cannot change things so that you have Sequencer on one display and Mixer on another, say. Also, if we already have Rack on one display, there is no need for Flip Rack button to be on the OTHER display that never shows the Rack, in this scenario.
Seems like nobody is testing this with more than one display.
