A multiband chainer like Kilohearts MultiPass is the dream, although that might not be super exciting for a lot of people.
I think Arturia have a lot of good bread and butter effects that do quite a bit, but they don't really compete against some other dedicated plugins. For example, Delay Eternity is great, but plugins like Valhalla Delay, UVI Relayer and Dual Delay, and even some stock plugins go a bit further. So I can see them putting out a wild, creative psych delay thing, or something similar for other effects (e.g. filter). A more boring answer is a transient shaper, or an easy-to-use parametric EQ not modeling hardware.

Universal Audio already did that now on sale for $79

Yes, there are already countess emulations from other companies but no one has done it properly in algorithmic form yet and Arturia’s effects are pretty accurate. I demoed just about option and they all sound nothing like Acustica’s Sand which actually sounds just like an SSL. I think Arturia could get it right and they already did a Neve EQ & comp.

I demoed UAD and they don’t sound as good as Sand. The bus comp is close, but the EQ not so much.

Why on Earth would Arturia need to be the 13th company delving into Amp Sims? These 3 are already doing as well as humanly possible.

I don't think it is a need, but as you say it is a commonality between many VST developers.electro wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 5:14 pmWhy on Earth would Arturia need to be the 13th company delving into Amp Sims? These 3 are already doing as well as humanly possible.

I almost posted the same comment but then thought it through before submitting my initial message reopening this thread (coming to your same conclusion). I wouldn't be surprised to see Arturia reuse some of their code to remake a guitar FX collection though one day..

same reason they would need to be the 174th company delving into doing an 1176 compressor.electro wrote: Tue Jun 03, 2025 5:14 pm

An idiot on Set Theory:

I think a deep and more generic speaker simulation as well as audio transmission sim along the lines of speakerphone but less focused on post production would be better than "amp sims". I'd like to see them do less emulation in general.
Less emulation of very specific gear that is.

Of their effects I like the granular delay and the motion thing. I've got all the stuff because it was only 100 bucks, and I'll probably use it here and there, but there's not a lot in there I'm very excited about.

This collection started with mixing tools. I think it lacks a lighweight (and transparent) workhorse EQ and maybe a reverb for realistic spaces and a console channel strip. Than there is a complete mixing suite.
I would like to see more more modern stuff, digital Fabfilter clones, Izotope AI's stuff clones, modular multi FX rack with a lot of modulation and tons of presets. Something like that.
But they will probably do some more vintage emulations, such stuff can be coded very fast and it sells.

Tomorrow new Arturia plugin will be released. I love it. It is kinda "all in one" tool but not limited to one type of the instrument.
Surprisingly works better than my typical chains.
