I am only the one who is not excited about Arturia Upgrade politics?. It's the on of the main reason why I sold all my Arturia stuff.

I think their policy is fair, if it’s the pricing you’re concerned about.

Usually I wait until black friday, possibly a year after release. The bundle deal is excellent then, imho. You just need to be patient. If you need or want the bundle or a single plugin right now, then you pay a bit more.

Neat. All-around mixing tools are a good move for them compared to another "vintage processor".

I have to say that MIX Drums sounds excellent with synths, it gives that extra oomph (which is difficult for me to achieve using a set of separate processors.)!

I wasn't sure if I liked it at first, but after playing with it on drums it delivers on "increase the impact and perceptual loudness". Likewise on bass.

Their upgrade system is probably the best. Upgrade from FX5 to 6, sell off 5 and your actual cost will likely be around $30, and Arturia still gets their $50-100. I've been doing this since FX2. The new drum mixer will also give you a better discount towards FX6.

It's actually 4 plugins + Mix Drums. If you don't have the $29 offer for Mix Drums, maybe you should wait until FX6 releases, or Black Friday.

Thanks for the reply. As I already own Refract and Motions it's only 2 new plugins for me, or are there any other ones I missed? Right now it's 49 euros for Mix Drums. As far as I know the only 2 plugins I don't own are Bus Peak and Bus Exciter.

Rev LX-24 came with v5, and a rotary effect I never use, I believe.

Before upgrading last fall, I didn’t think I’d need another Clipper/Limiter, but Bus Peak is quite good, I use it all the time. YMMV, of course.

After demoing it on various material, I decided to buy it (as soon as Arturia fixes their auth server). It’s a really nice one stop shop for drums processing, comes with a good set of controls and is easy to manage.

I’ll keep using compressors and other transient shapers, the newly released Articulate for example is amazing and a whole different kind of beast. But Mix Drums is fun and adds a new perspective on drums processing, at least for me.

It works fine on other stuff like synths as well, but I’m not sure it will replace Coldfire, Tube Culture, Rift or other distortion plugins I love. Likely not, these are far more flexible, apart from the multi band feature built into Mix Drums. It might come handy at some point, though.

Obviously FX6 got delayed for some reason, I wonder why. I just checked to make sure, and FX3, 4 and 5 came out in June respectively. We might have to wait for a while, considering the Mix Drums intro offer ends on July 1st. Maybe they ran out of low hanging fruit, or ideas, or something bigger is on the way?

Nothing we can do but wait, I suppose. Arturia is getting slammed, I wasn’t able to log in the whole day.

But maybe that’s a good thing, I completely forgot about Tape J-37. Thanks for reminding me. That changes my calculation, now I’ll wait for v6, too.

I have had multiple issues logging into my account for a month or so.
It seems random and this on the same PC and web browser.

(About MixDrums) Tried demo, i thought why it doing wrong something with electronic drums at default init preset(which should be neutral i guess) . Like weaking attack, at very subtle degree, Thought I was going crazy. Then found that deal with "Low and Mid" crossover. If move it to center (to max 500), then attack bringing back. Idk maybe this was obvious thing (?)
Respectively, seemed strange that unavailable to full bypass "Mid\High" middle section,"Tape" knob i mean, because if this disable this produce muting for whiole midl band, instead bypass. Not sure if this by desidn or issue maybe.
In general i really liked concept (thought to grab blindly), but described semed questionable.
