I'm looking for a percussive sound with a strong and long reverb, often used in the 80s in disco, similar to a gunshot or a whip crack. Similar to a rimshot and a clap with reverb, but it's not easy to recreate by adding reverb, it's basically some kind of dry hit.

The only video that plays in the forum was the 3rd one, so that's the only one I listened to. The sound at 0:08 sounds like a sidestick from a sample-based drum machine with a high-passed long diffuse reverb on it. Get a sidestick (cross stick) sample and some reverb. Done.

The 3rd video is more than just offensive (Bad boys blue). He wants to fill her "soul" with "all his dreams"

Snares were often the loudest things on the dance tracks. I put many a vinyl on my computer and the biggest spike in the audio would be the snare.

I would say a clap sound as a base. Maybe layerwd with a snare attack. Then there is a high resonance peak as whassup stated. The hit you can form with several stages of compression and gates. And at the end add a not-so-much-gated reverb.

Linndrum doesn't have a sidestick, just a rimshot, and it doesn't sound right
