it would be great to fix the cpu load when the UI is open.
0.3% whern is close, up to 4% when is open.

The most annoying thing I found with Vela was the output gain changing every preset — and finding the level was much lower than the dry signal, even with 100% dry.
Would something like a global +/- 3, 6, 8db setting be useful.

We level matched the presets so that 0db dry signal would be around 0db wet. Maybe that isn’t loud enough?

If you right click the windows you can turn some animation features off.

yes. but this will disable GATE waveform animation which is not handy.

For me I would expect 100% dry to be the same level as when the effect is disabled. Then you can blend in the desired wet and adjust the output gain to taste. But this is because I typically use reverbs as inserts. Using Vela as a send effect, the current gain settings work much better. NB: this discussion would be better in the Vela thread, rather than hijacking this one.

Currently playing with some shimmer type ideas and the possibility to add a host sync tempo lock for the decay so you could do rhythmic gate stuff that match your tempo.
Actually would love to see Vela going more into the territory of SOMA - Cosmos than the usual constrained grid matrix stuff. Make it a living Organism instead of just another generic tool. :phones:

Vela is great.

I do have a few observations.

Pushing the wide control seems to add a lot of gain.

Is the ER section routed into the Tail or are they parallel.

It's hard to tell.

I'd love a way to route the ER into the tail with the option of not hearing the ER.

Also I think there could be more extreme diffusion on the ER and a simple HP/LP filter.

Off topic, and it probably doesn't merit its own topic: PSP currently has a flash sale ($29) for their EMT 2445, or whatever it's called.

Lese make some interesting stuff.

What's the USP on this?

Hmm, well the topography actually affects the sound, unlike in some effects. There's the anomalies,
the depth (actual depth parameter in fathoms). The granular tails, the freeze gate, autopilot etc.
While some of these are borrowed from their other releases, they add up to an interesting creative
reverb imo. I bought it without much deliberation myself and like it a lot. YMMV

The randomness of it too, lotta random happenings I guess, hence the name...

Ugh, the demo silences are way too frequent.

To me the randomization stuff is just too subtle. Maybe the material I was testing it with didn't show it off, but... eh, I'm happy to skip one every once in a while :)

Really nice reverb though. The newer bx plugins all seem good/solid/nice but just short of great/elite and therefore rarely get used because I have other preferred options. I get why people like them and do enjoy bx's new UI aesthetic and that they seem committed to it.
I'm digging on this too. Seems pretty full featured and sounds good too.
