But every synth benefits from having certain things. Like a way to organize presets into folders. Or automate parameters, or assign a parameter to a midi controller knob.

Anyway, you asked the question, so I answered it.
This sort of thing is totally reasonable to expect from a vat these days. But it's not a complete deal breaker for me. I'm a big fan of this synth. I can't always get the sound I want from it, but more often than not I will.

I'm surprised that they haven't updated these things, if only to stop the most common complaints people have about it.

I think there's definitely scope to take Massive X and some ideas from Massive to make a Massive 3. (3 osc, dual filters). But at this point I think theyd need to copy a bunch of stuff from Serum 2, which has so many synthesis modes (and good publicity) everything else is really playing catch up now.

Pretty soon it will just be a big AI ear into which you'll tell it what kind of sound you want and there you go.

That's what remote controllers already do when you know how to program Synthesizers... Of course, there's still presets.

Ocean Swifts third-party preset pack (very good as everything from Ocean Swift) has its own folder in user presets. This is the first preset pack that I have that has the NKS implementation and this enables the separate-folder-view. So it's already possible in Massive X.

NKS support, including audio preview when hosted in Maschine or Komplete Kontrol.
Bank and presets organized with tags
Does someone know if it's possible to add this stuff to my existing packs? I don't need any previews, but just having a separate folder for each preset pack and maybe my own folder would be great.

You can do it with this but not using Massive X itself

Big announcement from NI, the hyped Massive X update will be a dumbed down player view later this year. Of course they promised there’s going to be loads of other updates in the future as always.

They'd better throw in a second main filter or I'll bash them on an internet forum. That's not an empty threat, I'll do it!! :-x

This is what I found:

I wonder what the "much-loved synth product" that is getting a big update is (apart from Massive X) and which Reaktor synths will be ported to native.
Peace, my friends. I'm not seeking arguments here. ;)

I spent 5 minutes to get Massive X for free.
Where can I get my 5 minutes refund? :clown:

Monark and Razor are the most popular, it is likely those will happen first...

Looking forward to the Massive X update and Reaktor synths as standalone plugins.

I just want MIDI mapping for Massive X and an updated Reaktor...

I think it probably is, but was given away for free a couple times so that’s probably part of it. It’s a bit basic, but (imo) it sounds pretty good. 8)
