Loading times in FL24

Kontakt 5 = 3 seconds
Kontakt 7 = nearly 20 seconds
Kontakt 8 = 8 seconds (wow it really is faster lol)

Guitar Rig 5 = 1 second
Guitar Rig 6 = 5 seconds
Guitar Rig 7 = 14 seconds !!!!!! (wow it got worse

guess next paid update v8 might be 7 secs)

Long time NI user, but I very rarely use their stuff for that very reason. I have an older PC and win 10 and my load times are a bit longer. I'd throw in the towel, but I have some sample libraries and Reaktor ensembles that I love and have no better replacement.

Anyone know if Kontakt Player is a viable alternative for library playback? Are its load times faster?

Kontakt Player is the exact same application as full Kontakt. The only difference is in the license.

well one thing which really saves time is the preset browsing. which shouldnt be an excuse for the long loading times... UVI Workstation seems to be getting better and better and loads also faster.
I hope kontakt will be more fun to use some time.... or in life time

Just out of curiosity how long does it take to load Amplitube 5 on your system?

Did someone mention IK Multimedia?
Amplitube 5 is from IKM, and not NI or UVI.

AT5 and GR5 load about the same speed here in FreeStyle host.
It takes about 1 sec on my 20 core 4ghz+ machine

I wonder if Kontakt takes longer if you have several extra libraries? Or is it the same no matter how many are installed?

I just tried Guitar Rig 6 LE on my system and it was the same as what Caine123 posted.

I checked out Amplitube 5. I have the full version of that already installed.
It is pretty slow.... took about 18 secs.

@EvilDragon, hope you can somehow push the guys responsible for the plugins to improve the speed....

. i cannot think of them having also fun with these loading times.
but sadly i guess it is the overall change to the code? (im no dev!) or whatever or a new marketing tactic to improve loading times for each new paid version *ahahahahhaa*

Same thing happening here on my system. Kontakt 8 is very slow to launch compared to k5

Kontakt 8 and Guitar Rig 7 work better on my system than their predecessors.

Another thing that seems to help is to exempt some plugins from a virus scanner. There is still a function active just in case but it works snappier now.

thx but if something is worse programmed it just is sad...

Kontakt 8 & Guitar Rig 7 still a mess with loading times!
