Make a Moog bass with Roland XV

How to make that sound...

Should I treat a partial as the synth, or should I try to make the synth with two (or more partials)?

If I'm trying to make a funky Moog bass sound like 24K Magic, or Fine China with a Roland XV5080/5050 would you use a saw wave on one partial & a square wave on a second partial, then combine them with one of the TMT structures...

Or would you just take one of the Moog waveforms on one partial?

I briefly listened to that 24 karat song, and I would just tweak one of the presets in the XV-5080.

This one here might be close enough with a few adjustments:

PR-B - 028 - 101 Bass
