I watched the instructional video, but I still don't feel quite clear about the transient/sustain option. Are the frequencies you change essentially being handled like a compressor -- say if you lower a frequency while the transient option is greyed, will the frequency simply be tamed for a short time, or is it lowering it down altogether?

It is not dynamic is it? If not, it is lowering it down all the time.
It basically has split transient and sustain and you can effect those parts with EQ - not dynamic one.

From the manual (https://docs.izotope.com/ozone11/en/gen ... index.html):
Transient/Sustain: Analyzes the signal coming into the module to isolate transients and separate them from the sustained portion of the signal. The Transient and Sustain can then be processed separately. One set of parameters applies processing to the Transient channel and the second set of parameters applies processing to the Sustain channel. The two signals are mixed back together at the output of the module. If no processing is applied, the Transient and Sustain will mix back together to form the exact same signal.

Ah, so it almost sounds like a volume pedal/filter, but the resonance is always present (unless brought down with the sustain option). Does that sound right to you?
