Please allow the installer to set custom installation folder paths (or allow for manual installation).
Which plugin format and OS are you using?
Custom installation paths were possible for vst2, but with vst3, the plugin path is fixed by the standard and must be
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3 on Windows.
Oh, wow, I never knew that. That's interesting.
Then I guess there is no problem. I selected vst3 only.

Is there a way to make settings as default?

Not directly within Visu at the moment, but your DAW might offer a way to save a plugin's default state. Which DAW are you using?

Erm, what's the frequency range of Visu?
aka rktic. demoscener (Farbrausch, Holon, MFX, Still), sound designer, ux-dude, sth @AudioRealism, human synthesizer—not necessarily in that order.

Would love to hear about what people use this for...

It's a time-based view of frequency, so you get the 3rd element of time added to the frequency and db info displayed in more conventional frequency analyzers (like Span), at the expense of less granular info on db (represented but color).

Being able to see frequency over time is useful when designing sounds that morph over time to find excessive or unwanted high or low end. Also for finding 'hot spots' in a sound or mix. Also good for seeing changes in harmonic content over time.

I love Visu and after working with it regularly if i could request somethings it would be these;

1 - Add an option to make the line thicker below 150Hz in Enhanced mode. It's great that Enhanced is as exact as it is, but i have Visu open all the time and its usually a small-ish window, it's hard to see the bass action at a glance then. I have to focus and / or make the window larger to see it clearly. Alternatively if i switch to Classic it's (of course) a blurry haze and not exact enough.

2 - Allowing users to have certain settings set as default. I have to re-set Floor to my preferred value every time i drag Visu into a project.

3 - Making it possible for users to define their own color palette.

Somehow I missed this, so a humble "thanks a lot" from me for that explanation. :tu:

Hi. Nice update.
Would it be possible to add Floor and Ceiling to the init Visu.settings too?

Floor and Ceiling should already be included in the init preset, but let me know if you're seeing otherwise.
