yeah, i came to those conclusions as well after wasting a lot of time. for a synth that is marketed as "open architecture, you can do anything" you certainly can't make the simple move of editing each drum sample in a drum kit. smh. i see every drum sample in the window and they are calling it a sampler but you can't edit the samples. hope they fix that.

Nexus isnt a drumkit machine. These "drums" are just "normal" multisamples, and they are in the XPs to support the SQ presets with drums. If you want a full fledged drum machine in a synth check Avenger

yeah i know, duh. still a decent sampler editing setup inside nexus should at least have a volume control. I don't think it should be too much to ask for drum kits they already have onboard to be edited like in every other sampler. It's laughable to see the sampler window waveforms on the screen for many of the patches only to find out you can't just look at the multisample drum map and turn the hi hat up or down. Hit the bass drum key, there's the waveform. Turn it up using available editing parameters? Nope. You can reverse it and do all kinds of other stuff, but you can't just turn it up can you now? So if I want to print the drums from Nexus for a mix, I guess I can resample entire kits into logic to control volume and FX or I can run 10 instances of Nexus to print a simple drum pattern.msvs wrote: Sat Jun 21, 2025 3:29 pm Nexus isnt a drumkit machine. Crikey, the earth just tilted on its axis a little - refx are running a summer sale!
Verrrry significant. They've had their winter sale as their only sale forever. Moreover, this is 50% off across the board, which I'm pretty sure is a steeper discount. Nexus 5 is now £127, and the most expensive expansion is £31.

We spent some time building a new tool for creating the videos. Going forward they should be more varied.zvenx wrote: Tue Jun 24, 2025 11:09 pm This may very well be my favourite demo from Refx/Vengeance..

What did you use before, if you don’t mind me asking? I was watching some of your expansion videos the other day and was thinking that it would be cool to integrate some of that into a music video I’m currently working on.

f**king ridiculous in my opinion.User3 wrote: Fri Jun 27, 2025 12:10 pm I would buy the Trance Voices expansion. However, there is the following warning regarding it: "Please note that vocals may not be used commercially".
On the plus side, at lest they’re open about on the main product page and have not hidden it in small print.
Each to their own.
Do they have other XPs featuring similar warnings?
