Because the court case was being brought against Behringer they renamed their Centaur clone, added a Behringer logo and redid the graphic on the pedal.
Some divots are now trying to sell the original design “lawsuit” pedals for hundreds.

And possibly a Jet Guitar T style. Very nice axes Jet’s for the money. Lovely necks.

Suck it Harley Benton! lol.

Actually.. possibly a Harley Benton Gotoh series SG style cos Glenn Fricker said it’s great. :hihi:
I noticed HB has different body materials to Jet (in the same price range). Ash and Alder seem to be the most common type of Telecaster bodies. Jet use basswood.

Also, I thought I'd save on a Jet and get a Fazely, Jet clone. Maybe made in the same factory. Big mistake. Cheaper hardware and electrics than a Jet. It sounded awful, still got finish it. New trem and posts nightmare, pickups and pickguard. Should have got the Jet :dog:

One to consider from £99 alder and ash bodied J&D t-style.

Bugger . I hate it when that happens!
I recently bought an old Brian Moore i21 for $200.
MIC, looked great, besides a sizeable crack in the lower bout, but else all good (or so said the seller)
Nice fretwork and fingerboard. Alnico pickups.
Turned out to be a lemon. wouldnt hold tune. Pickups were very bright and almost microphonic or something. Buzzing up the neck (poss warped)
Then the headstock snapped mysteriously

Sometimes it just ain’t worth doing the upgrades. I tend to just try sell on these days.

Re the J&D - I’ve had a few. They look alright but generally not great players /sounding tbh. There’s better buys on the used market imo.

Cheap T-styles I’ve not had much luck with.
(Just sold a Donner tele and before that a SX tele)
Before this I had a new affinity squire with the strat body cut at the back. A good mod platform I reckon that one :tu:

Basswood is good :tu: Ibanez use basswood a lot on the lower end models.

I always wanted to try these miKro guitars.
But I suspect they would be an intonation nightmare for me with my heavy fretting grip.
That one looks rad tho I like it :tu:

I have a Donner Tele, another project. I didn't think it was bad for the £65 new. It came with a decent case and cable.
Modded with a 2502N switch, wide-range Humbucker in the neck, humbucker in bridge.
Need to finish wiring. :help: I think it of more as a jazzer than a twangy Tele. For some reason, it's louder than anything else I've got. :borg:

I might opt for a better, no modding guitar next.........
Maybe a Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1 HSS HT. All the modding is done, I would prefer a 9.5 radius than a compound radius.

Nice work :tu:
Things I didn’t like about my Donner ;
- biggish neck with flat radius
- sizeable frets
- fake ebony black fingerboard( is that even wood?)
- Also had a strange sudden cut-off in sustain when soloing and bending/vibratoing notes. I’ve come across that before. Could be that fingerboard material the cause.

Same problem with the SX and some other cheaper end guitars. Mainly the big a$$ necks and frets.
Generally get a better neck shape and nicer frets on midrange budget guitars. (For me).

The Jet I tried had a very nice roasted-maple one w a nice shape + FB radius. It was the relic’ed model tho and priced $850 AUD .

I’ve seen the standard Jet HSS non relic’s for ~$300 used I may get one …

This was my collection a few years back. All sold now (sigh) the follies of Covid :(

Love this. Only four decades? :hihi:
I’ve had a pedalboard and big ass case I’ve had for 10 years. Plus a big bag of pedals. I’ve set up the board about 3 times in that decade. I get the idea to get it out every now and then but then think of all the effort and daisy chains and cables .too lazy and cbf

My ideal would be a lil board that sits atop an amp head or combo, with 4-5 old school battery op pedals. So I can see and reach them easily to tweak.
all Batt Op , so no power supply or daisy chain. Double ended jacks to connect them together. Real simple efficient setup.

Then some kind of switch system on the body of my guitar , that I can click on / off with my fretting hand. “

Even better than that, maybe the 3-4 FX built straight into my guitar body.
Like those wacky Japanese guitars from the past.

my dream setup.I want the controls on the guitar so I don’t have to look down and tap dance that’s too disruptive for me :scared:

I hate setting up pedals at rehearsals. It’s a PITA.
I just wanna plug n play baby!

Modeller & FX units are even worse for me than pedals . Way too complex to be messing with at rehearsals.

I briefly got GAS about this swap in replacement Fender Strat scratchplate with all new pickups and controls. It’s supposed to let you use a wireless app to set the pickups to sound like they are in a Les Paul or many other types of guitar with control over pickup type, EQs plus even a switchable overdrive. Closest thing I’ve seen to a make-your-own-Variax kit though without the tuning options.

Big downsides for me are the price - quoted as $990 on their website - and it is only made to fit a Fender strat body. My only real strat is a Roland Ready one so I’d lose the inbuilt GK3 MIDI pup if I fit it. Still it’s promising, shows there may be some further options like this down the line.

Are you safe?

Ordered a T-style neck for a future project. The seller offered me a discount that was too good to refuse.
Roasted maple neck, satin finish, 22 stainless frets, 9.5" fretboard radius :D
It looks like a reused photo.

I've got enough bits and bobs, like, hardware, pickups, electrics and pickguards, minus the body, to do a complete build.

What's the backstory on the Nashville Tele? Headstock repair? Modded to 3 pickups?

How old is the Charvel? The headstock?

Post

A bone nut but will soon buy and swap out the jb and jazz pickups for a emg 57/66 set on a another guitar.

Did you look into the TW versions? I had the 89R before and it was awesome.

That’s a Mex Nashville T I bought off Thomann back in 2005 or so. Tex Mex pickups, all stock . Had fantastic tones. I miss that one.
I think that’s a piece of thread hanging off the end tuner haha.

The Charvel was a Japanese model an STB series or something. Last owner had swopped the pickups to standard fender SCs . Nice guitar also , great brass roller nut but jumbo frets I didn’t like. Good build quality.

The semi hollow on rhs was a Hohner Professional series H35 Korean. Also another solid buy .

All 3 had to go to pay bills

Oh and the J&D Lp was chinese junk.haha.
That got completely destroyed by me tryna do a full refret on it. :ud: I’ll not be trying that again!
Nightmare.
