Agreed on "yay, another Pultec", however the RTA feature does look incredibly useful.

Could have put a low and high cut on to make it that bit more useful without taking away from the origin.

I thought the old UAD Pultec Pro where they combined the HP/LP filter module, the MEQ, and EQP-1 into a single unit was really clever and other companies would've stolen that concept and ran away with it. But alas...even UA subsequently never revisited that when they updated their Pultec.

I don't get the point of this. Its passive in the most literal interpretation of the word. No preamp staging at all, so the model is hinged entirely on the filter quality. Not sure what "true passive circuit emulation"means in a digital environment as you can't get truly passive behaviour. all digital filter designs are active, but its very easy to emulate the curve interactions, phase response etc. D16's filters have never really wowed me, so probs gonna sit this one out

I dont know the hardware but as it is D16 i demo'ed it but not much just 30 minutes or so, i dunno the catch but I dunno why i should use this instead of Pro Q4 or something. i tested it on some drum busses, some various material and i could dial in my sound to taste with Pro Q4 asap and i didnt hear the "ANALOG" sound with Pulsetec...

I'm not sure if comparing this to a $179 plugin is fair. This is something you'd buy if you like the Pultec flavor not as an all around general purpose EQ. It doesn't sound like you're a fan of the flavor so you should probably pass.

I'm of the same mind as others here. I don't need another Pultec but I do have the 29€ offer and am a big fan of D-16 so....

Nice price on it, but I'm also not sure that I need another Pultec emulation. Thankfully they gave it a name that makes some sense this time, rather than something like "Gerpfrigaton".

yeah i still miss something, i mean it for real, what shall i do to understand whats special?
i was pushing the low end with Pulsetec on my drumbus and then bypassed it and then boosted the same range with my Pro Q4 and A/Bed it and well i didnt hear a difference

then I moved on to the high fequencies and treated there the same range and again nothing really stood out for me when comparing.
so not to talk crap about it, i just seem to not hear it, understand how to use it/use it to hear the difference or im just already in a good workflow with ProQ4.
