Recreate classic lead sound from anime and videogames

I have poured through dozens of my VA and “hybrid” softsynths (Serum, Diva, Dune 2, ANA 2, Retrologue, Alchemy, Modwave, Wavestate, etc.) to find and I even tried diving in and programming for myself to get a classic lead sound found in anime and some Japanese RPGs from back in the day. Japanese anime studio work usually stays true to form to the anime. The character that plays keys in the anime uses a Korg Triton Extreme and an RK-100s.

I would appreciate any help recreating this lead patch. It begins at 3:10 of the video.

This sounds like a triangle waveform with a very basic volume envelope (ADSR) and nothing interesting happens with the filter.
The characteristic is in the glide when notes are played with some overlap. Then it glides from one to the next. Most synths have a parameter called Portamento or Glissando. That works best when the synth is set to monophonic mode.

The Triton Extreme plugin from the KORG collection is pretty cool, though I didn't find any sounds that struck me as 'super' close to that. It does sound like you could definitely get pretty close with
a little effort.

It should be quite simple, right? I tried using triangle wave(s) previously but the results were less than stellar. I would vary filter and resonance and portamento and glide, etc. My attempts with triangle waves usually resulted in the patch being too thin sounding. To your ears, is it a single oscillator or multiple oscillators? I have tried both. My “failures” have resulted in my discovering/creating some quite nice leads but they don’t sound like what I am looking for. Thanks
I demoed both the Triton and Triton Extreme and did not find the patch either. Thanks for looking and confirming the Triton does not have that patch.

Is mocking me appropriate or am I misunderstanding you? I am unfamiliar with Bert's background. Thanks for the link.I tried using triangle wave(s) previously but the results were less than stellar. So flattering... I play mainly guitar, and I'm here only for the chit-chat. You don't know how long ago it's been since I touched a real synth.
(that was ca 1995 when I blew up the envelope generator of my ARP AXXE by probing it with a multimeter set to Ampere)

@choos, thanks for explaining. I might have been a bit touchy on my end. My apologies. Thanks again for making the video.
@bertkoor, your patch is excellent. Thank you for creating the patch for my consumption.
I am trying to recreate the patch in Multi/Poly but the triangle wave has a slightly more mellow timbre, the envelope seems slower, and the reverb is structured differently. I am inching closer but I still cannot replicate the reflections you have in the Vital patch in Multi/Poly's reverb. I sooooo stink with reverb "programming".
Again, thanks to both of you.
