There's absolutely no way I'm paying that much when the company is so fragile. Maybe in a year or two and it seems stable, then I may consider it..

Though if they do update Symptohm:Mellohman, then I'll probably fold and pay up.

Gave this a quick demo, distortion algo's are good, but it's a no from me. Just not gelling with me at all workflow wise.

I too am put off by the upgrade price, especially given the lack of support for M1 until this point. Upgrading for $95 seems ridiculous to me. I’ll skip this.

Huh? It works with native Apple Silicon (M-series processors) with macOS Sequoia (15).

Its ok sounding, personally the JMG Cyberdrive is better and way cheaper.
Mac Studio M4

Someone misread what it says on the site: no Arm...for Windows.

It says right above that: "4 cores CPU, 3.4 GHz (4.0 GHz Turbo-boost) or M1 CPU"

You all need to to read what he said in full, "until this point" means that he's not happy they waited this long to support M1, not that this just released product doesn't support M1.

Wow update from $99...no

I'm more than mildly disappointed with Ohm Force in general, having owned their All All bundle for years. Now, even being that customer, they expect to charge near full price for a remake of one of the plugins of theirs I own that they abandoned years ago. They get regulated to the trash bin of history for me, having your company go through a rough period is one thing, turning around and expecting loyalty and giving none is another. Less than a year from now this will be 50% off, this is not a sustainable business model.

Ohmforce going full on the nostalgia ticket.

I bought Ohmicide:mehloman back in 2008 for 99 bucks and I kind of lost interest in it long before it went defunct.

It's a completely different landscape now and we have every conceivable saturation plugin available.

Saturn, Kelvin, Thermal, Fury, Coldfire, Cyberdrive etc. etc.

Nothing about Ohmicide seems that compelling.

It would be great fun to play with Ohmicide again, but not at that upgrade-price! There's so many more alternatives these days, so just moving on here...
music // twolegs // geometriae
sounddesign // twolegstoneworks

The new version doesn't have the Melohman features?
I'm a huge fan of Ohmforce and while I appreciate some of the new features, but I don't know...
I'm still able to use Ohmicide on one of my systems, so I guess I don't feel the need to upgrade.

I thought I wasn’t even going to think twice about upgrading, but this has made me think at least that many times. They may have overestimated the power of distortion plugin nostalgia.

I think the remaining Ohm Force people missed what made their original plugins so appealing - the single-page interfaces and the perfect balance between complexity and limitations.
Both Ohmboyz Infinite and this are just not fun to use. They feel clunky, a lot more clicking and too much crucial information hidden away in tabs. Also Melohman was a fantastic feature in the OGs, super creative and a great way to automate between patches.
Luckily Frohmager is still one page and a blast to use.

I downloaded the demo and had to buy it short after. Lots of great algorithms and lots of options. And it seems to never sound bad which is kind of rare in distortion realms. It’s a steep update price but I am sure they had lots of work with this and as it’s not a plugin everybody would need or buy I think it’s not unusual to have a higher price. But this is where everybody needs to decide on his own.
