I am really torn. Ugh. $95.

But - I am the biggest distortion plugin fanatic of most time. Ugh. I will think ----

I agree if they had just made the crossgrade price reasonable, or had an intro, or SOMETHING. Instabuy.

Now I just sit and fret.

EDIT: Got the bundle completion deal for much less than crossgrade price. Very happy

It's unfortunately very buggy on Mac. I sent them a report where I attached this footage.
As you can see the controls are all weirdly unresponsive and twitchy and in the default preset the distortion algo selector is completely broken.

Well, for this one I’ve gotta say that Ohm Force has really earned…

…an email sub from me so they can tell me when it’s available for a reasonable price. Maybe that was the plan all along?

oof. those are show stoppers. gui doing weird stuff is kinda a deal breaker. i'll try the demo to see if it's same over here.. if so then i'll wait for the 1.x update.

very interested but at $95 crossgrade it should be golden out the gate. always loved ohmicide like everyone else... and it seems like ohmforce are 100% back w/all the updates, the hardware, the new site etc so i'm in their corner and hoping this all goes well so they can keep making cool stuff.

edit: so, quickly went through the UI and a bunch of different algos and it sounds amazing. good ol' ohmicide. i like algo picker. didn't get any bugginess but only a few minutes into messing w/the demo and trying random things.. no issues yet..

if i have no issues.. will have to buy it. it sounds really great. rosetta is going away sometime next year i think isn't it? so, if i want ohmicide in my life this is the way.. and the $140 lenovo think pad from many years ago i have for just this kind of things ;)

amazingly.. the algorithm slot is modulatable. nuts.

edit edit: that didn't take long. it sounds great imo. same as ever but more. and the modulating everything is pretty slick and fast. i like the new interface and the way the modulation works. ncie work ohmforce. i am relieved.

If you bought Infinity, even if you never bought the original Ohmicide, you can "complete the bundle" for $71 to get the new Ohmicide, not unreasonable IMO. It sounds awesome, but the knob control is unbelievably annoying. They seem to be vertically draggable, as they should be, but they barely respond, and the speed of the rotation seems to randomly change. It's really pissing in my Cheerios.

Not seeing that, I have a crossgrade offer for only $155, so I can pay an extra $36 to crossgrade if I want, seemingly...

If someone is up to it, please tell them their reset password link is broken.

I wanted to log in, but I'm not buying it again anyways. Infinity pissed me off. I have all their old stuff since made free. Sounds like this is buggy. Doesn't seem worth the hassle.

I like it well enough so far, though not really seeing it as being $90 better than Sinevibes Corrosion 2 which I finally picked up yesterday coincidentally. Not seen any issues so far, but I'm not on mac...

I tried asking about the upgrade, also I reported the password reset problem. Not sure I would count
on a quick response or anything.

If you login, then scroll halfway down the Ohmicide page, where the attached pic says $178, it should say $71 if you own Infinity.

I do, and it does not. $155... Anyway, I sent him an email about it, maybe you paid more than me,
I got infinity pretty early on and it was an upgrade.

Post

Ah that could be it, Infinity was not an upgrade for me.

Post

It sounds incredible and the gui is so much better than the old version which was a nightmare to deal with, instant buy, and happy to support these guys for everything they did

I'm in contact with their excellent costumer service.
The distortion selection issue was caused by the Macro offsetting the distortion selection, so not a bug! They're looking into the laggy controls on mac.
The plugin does indeed sound great, so I will get the upgrade at some point.

I don't really know. I still use V1 all the time. I'll probably keep doing that. It doesn't appear they've improved much that I can't already do with other tools. Is there a user transfer curve? If they're gonna make it full of tabs they should add that.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

I got Infinity as upgrade, and it shows my Infinity license as NFR, which surprised me. My "total package" upgrade price is $131. Weird.

Edit: I paid $84 for infinity. Maybe they use that number to calc the total package price?
