Configuring my new Launchkey mk IV. I've got a ways to go.
Anyone in the market for a reasonably priced midi keyboard owes it to themselves to give it a try-out. I'm impressed, and I don't impress easily.

Just finished a track that: combined per-sequenced notes on OXI One with me triggering ratchets; euro rack synced with DAW; and lastly, a live play in time with my Prologue on bass.
It sounds like nothing else although you would probably classify it as melodic techno.

I had a vocal tracking session with a client yesterday. We had a great time and got a lot of work done. Luckily it stayed nice and cool in the studio!
We left all the cat toys on the floor because it adds to the ambience. My make-shift vocal booth works surprisingly well!

Picked up a NuX Loop Core stereo looper pedal for my pedalboard so playing around with it.
Definitely benefits from minimalistic approach to loop building otherwise everything turns to mush in four layers.

got a working rig together for live streaming at least.
looked for new audio card, 4th gen of the focusrite is due out soon so will wait on that, for now got a two track maudio duo, 2 in 2 out, so not great for studio use full time.
also, this pc is on its last legs for sure, most programs hang on opening "not responding" the programs that do open, hang when trying to open any project "not responding"
it nearly ten years old, so im ok with replacing it anyway, but for now i can at least still get shit done!

Cheers vurt. SCAN have been really good. They arranged packaging and pick up/return of the PC and were generally as helpful as they could be. I have a working system now (at last) , but I'm back where I started, well over a year ago, still installing and re-registering software. I have way too many plugins!vurt wrote: Thu Jun 26, 2025 8:23 pmyou use scan dont you for computers? are they reliable in this kind of situation?thecontrolcentre wrote: Wed Jun 25, 2025 5:59 am Spent all day yesterday (and last night) downloading the latest versions of all my VST's and music software after a CPU burnout and replacement lost everything I had installed on my C: drive. Great, congrats! I really like "The language" and "Man in shadow" the most. The whole album reminds me of stuff I listened to when studying electronic composition back in 2003PatchAdamz wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 8:30 pm Just mixed, mastered, and released the new CD after half a year in the studio:

4 tracks finished during the holiday weekend. GForce Halogen in 3 of them and OPS7 in the other... I hadn't planned on featuring FM on this one, it just happened. Walrus Audio Slöer is on 3 of them too, but not the same ones.
(The theme/inspiration is "suspension" -- sus chord drones, audio "suspended" in infinite reverb/frozen buffers/delay feedback/loopers.)

Cosmos arrived yesterday and I set it up with Enner just to figure out how to use it. Recorded the output to evaluate later, but it was fun. I have wanted a looper for a while and this should work. I will be rotating that out of the way today because I have another project I am working on.

Working on our 15 year release. Had to drop a lot of tracks because they were on Logic 9 and we have mostly stereomix.wav's left (I can't remember reason what happened). Neither of us have macs and some of the plugins used are not existing/are unusable.
But it is what it is. Moving on with other tunes. List is now down to #14.
