Thank you for supporting Linux!!!!ess_m wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 10:31 pmYeah, no MPE yet – but I am going to look into adding it (to both versions) down the line. :–)enCiphered wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 10:19 pm Very nice-sounding FM synth, but it doesn't seem to support MPE, at least the free version doesn't. Can anyone confirm please?

This synth has an amazingly simple gui and sounds good. But I am still unsure what's so special about it, could you explain this to me? I was very happy with Six Sines, but does this synth have some feature which Six Sines does not have (except this intuitive gui)? So it's mainly a workflow wonder, correct?

It would be great if it had something unique sound-wise.

It has a fantastic filter and the GUI lends it self perfectly to be mapped to a controller which makes it very hands on and run to play withHanz Meyzer wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 6:11 pm This synth has an amazingly simple gui and sounds good. Aaand here's v1.1!
This update largely focuses on adding support for various ways to re-tune the instrument, but also adds some QoL improvements alongside MIDI CC Pitch Bend and Sustain Pedal support.
I wasn't planning to add MTS-ESP support but after learning that the free version can't use MPE I decided to take a stab at it and turned out to be ultra simple to implement. Kudos to ODDSound.

Code: Select all
Features
MPE pitch bend support (+/- 48 semitones, continuous)
MIDI pitch bend support (+/- 2 semitones)
Note Expressions tuning support (CLAP)
ODDSound MTS-ESP retuning support (on-note)
MIDI Sustain Pedal (CC64) support
Improvements
Importing a Pivot-Lite preset will add the appropriate velocity modulation mappings for an accurate conversion
Scrolling through presets now also scroll through Lite presets
Preset name field now accepts numbers and dashes
Folder item added to preset menu which opens the plugin folder in the system file browser
Saving an already existing preset name will create a copy instead of overwriting
Multiple parameter gestures (ADSR, Filter Cut/Res) will no longer cause multiple undo entries (Ableton Live specific issue)
Bugfixes
Velocity was set while gating in Mono mode (Voice Count set to 1) which could cause clicking
Mouse cursor could sometimes disappear in Garageband
Pivot-Lite preset menu would show up in Pivot even if empty

I really like this synth, it's just very immediate. This will be perhaps a stupid comparison but it's kind of like an fm minimoog in its immediacy. Neither are the most "powerful" synth but both sound good and you can dial in a sound very quickly. I made a bunch of tracks with mostly pivot in the past couple of weeks but I didn't use the filter yet too much.

Might sound a bit silly at first, but this one finally replaced Operator.
