Hey folks.

Can someone help me please understand how to recreate this bass by L.D.C?

It sounds like a real bass or maybe a synth preset I am really not sure. Its being used by many 90s house producers back then even in goa tracks.

It sounds very stereo and wet and I wonder if you can advise how would I be able to have my bass stereo without some phase issues... my bass always sounds very dry and mono :)

Thanks!

OK I just had a quick look

It's a saw wave.
Then you need a high pass to shave off some of the very low lows
Then a boost around 160Hz
and a lowpass filter to taste around 200 Hz or so

The a 2nd layer which is a noisy clap sample of whits noise filtered to taste

The trick to stereo bass is that the "bass" is still mono. Usually it's multiple sounds layered and the stereo bits are only in the mods and highs. I can't pick out the sound you want on my phone. If you tell me when it happens I might be able to help.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Thank you! the stereo trick you mentioned sounds very logical... I might try it to see how it sounds, cuz having a bass in stereo confused me a bit for some additional phase aliasing and so on..

The sound itself that I am referring to is the overall bass in this track , you can maybe hear it clearer at 7:49, sounds like a bass or synthase bass in a very stereo appearance to me.

Also some same kind of sound but in mono appears here right at the beginning of the track:

OK if you have the patience to hear me ramble on about this bass for 9+ minutes then feel free.
It gets pretty close at the end

Hi mate thank you so much for your time and explanations!
I really liked the way you are working, it was very inspiring! :ud:

I managed also to create something which sounds very similar, I used your advice to separate it to channels and go with a layering approach. thank again!!!
