Update: i added some free codes with my last post (just scroll down the page). Feel free to use one of them.

Hello everyone, below you'll find a link to my new release. As always, I've tried to make it as good as possible. Feel free to tell me what you think - musically and technically. I know some things don't sound as smooth as usual :tantrum: ; some of the sounds were really clunky - but they have character 8) . Still, I think it'll be fun to listen to :wheee: . Maybe someone will like it :) As always, it's in the direction of electronica and the early Warp years. I hope everyone has a nice day, and thanks for taking a listen.

So here we go:

Back to Basics - fragwordig: The track isn't all that "questionable" (which
is expressed by "fragwürdig"): It transports you to a vast, dreamy electronic
world. Wonderfully light grooves and bouncy melodies.

Overall a great opening track, very inspiring and nice to listen to. :tu:

Nice album… pleasant tunes and moods. Sounds good

I listened to the whole album. I especially enjoyed "Journey" which is very adventurous and varied. True to its name, it does take you on a journey. :)

The other tracks are also very solid although more minimalistic in their approach. The mix is very good. Nice job. :tu:

tomtom1,
Thank you for the review! Now your song: intro is a little discordant for me (though it's supposed to be "questionable", yes?). Or it took me a little while to get accustomed to it. I listened 3 times. Other than that, I think it sounds pretty good; pretty nice melodies for the most part. Nice drums. "Area": I have similar feelings on this song; though this is more spacey (good). I like the spoken word portion; reminds me a bit of Thomas Dolby. Overall, I like the second song slightly more than the first.

I think your tunes have satisfied your 'Old-school synths, 90s drum breaks, and sounds of classic drum machines, early Warp years' comments from here and BandCamp. Took me straight back to early Aphex Twin.

Mixes are on point—really nice to hear some IDM that hasn't abandoned melody. This is four releases in in the past four years. You're really building a solid body of work. Nice job tomtom1!
When the data is corrupt in the Desert of the Real, Beyond the Last Thought, where intuition reigns, is the solace that will embolden and strengthen the soul, giving hope once more to this age of failing technique. eassae.com

All of the tracks sound great. Excellent representation of the era.

I didn't think the sounds were "clunky". The album had an integrated, high quality sound, and the mix was excellent. My favourite tracks were "fragwordig" and "area". I'm sure Richard would enjoy this. Congratulations on the release.

Good work :)

By clunky I meant that the sounds are a little rough, with rough edges and untamed. Not as soft and shiny as you might expect these days. The main synth used is 20 years old. Its wavetables don't have the highest resolution and many sounds jump around randomly (per LFO) in positions. I'd be really interested to hear what Richard would say about the tracks. But HE will never hear it... (I'm sure). But thank YOU for your time and listening.

Very cool tracks tomtom1. They are written by someone who understands music and appreciates the era. Lovely flow and harmonic changes. Thought I heard some organ in there...
"each single dream" is my favourite.
Well done!
