For the ones keep asking to install it onto another drive i will make this happen soon with the installer, i just did not expect that users would have trouble so much installing onto the c:\program files\AAMS. If you have a C:\ drive , install it there first. Then copy the whole directory to another location. Or use c:\program files\AAMS\Install\setup.exe to install AAMS onto another drive. Keep reminded that you need the database to be copyed also.
For users who dont have a C:\ drive ?
I will change the installer later on, i just did not expect you to do so. Did you all disregard the C:\ drive ?? hahahaha, sorry. I will have to change the installer later on... just wait another day for the new installer , you can change the installation path then... just for now, try to install on c:\program files\AAMS and then copy it anywhere you like.

For the german version of windows, hmmm nice one of mircosoft to change the original path! Did not know that one! I will change the installer today, and you can download it tomorrow , just need some testing. But thx for your replies ,
IT WILL BE FIXED!
In the new installer you can change drives and program path where you want. I will make this happen... Just wait a few hours and check the AAMS.zip download again.
thx for your replies, keep it up!

i think you got me wrong. your installer should detect the "programs" directory from the registry. its c:\programme for german windows versions (as it ever was). but anyway its not a problem that it goes to c:\program files\ .dvdvelde wrote:For the german version of windows, hmmm nice one of mircosoft to change the original path! ...
but i cant start the aams.exe (error message) and when i start the setup.exe from c:\program files\AAMS\Install\ as you have stated above, it forces me to reboot and after that nothing happens (when i start the setup.exe again i have to reboot again - a perfect circle but no running application.
please do a step for step instruction for the install.

Yes , thx for your info.
I will change the installer around today, as its only released 1-1-2005 i expect this to happen.
Anyway you get forced to Reboot cause the system dll's or ocx's files AAMS uses , are used by another program that is running on your computer.
You could try to run windows in safe mode, without running other programs, or shut them down first.
I will look into this, cause i had another user with the same reboot problem, windows versions are so differend i did not expect this. But surely its solvable and i will try to solve it in the next AAMS.zip, just wait a few hours or a day and try again.....

It is possible that shareware sites that contain AAMS download dont have the latest version if they dont redirect it to my site. For downloading the latest version check out my site. www.curioza.com

I have a 3ghz Pentium hyperthreadingand 1gb ram.The waiting time on importing a audio file or SONG is about 6 minutes or less on a P4 2.5Mhz.
This will increase to 25 minutes on a P3- 933 mhz.
This 2:54 song is averaging at 10 minutes.
(If I leave the computer alone)
If anyone wants to make some comparisons
I noticed you can save a Firium eq as a preset, this is a good idea. Do you plan on having preset options for the rest of the eqs and also multiband?
(I'm going to try Reaktor Flatblaster for multiband if possible)
