I've gone from having way too many synths to just using Pigments for pretty much everything.

Over the years? FM lab faithfully emulates most of the hardware synths I used for many a year. The recent Korg synths (Modwave, Wavestate, Multi/Poly) can do the Poly 61, M1 and Wavestation I had back in the day. My faithful JV 1010 still sees use. Alchemy, Diva, Halion, Heavyocity collections, and Zebra 2 get used regularly. Serum is used on occasion. At some point, I need to get a Kawai K5 emulation.

My most used synth over the years was the DX7, today I use the excellent emulation of it the Plogue OPS7
In addition I always wanted a Synclavier II, and Arturia has an incredible plugin version made by the programmer of the original with the actual code from the original, I use that all the time also

It's unbelievable how many instruments have accumulated over the years. Everything from freeware to Omnisphere. And many of them have only been used once. But if I look at the last two years, these three instruments have been used almost constantly:
Vital (my absolute favorite for everything)
Cherry Audio GX-80 (wonderful sound)
Cherry Audio PS-20 (creates great sounds incredibly quickly and easily)

Mostly Arturia, and now Synthesizer V for vocals. It's incredible.
There are two kinds of people in the world. And you're not one of them.

I almost never use emulations anymore - but sometimes. My primary soft synths are
- Serum2
- Multipoly
- Hive 2
- Spire
- Twin 3
I have at least 30 more than that.
