Yes, but why didn't you also correct the actual name of the plugin in the topic title?Korg Supporter wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 6:25 pmI did yesterday. From 2OP to 2 Operator PairUncle E wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:13 pm No point in arguing about it when OP clearly isn't going to change the thread title.![]()
My bad, but then what you said makes no sense even on the original 1970s Synclavier and 1980s Synclavier II both operators had exactly the same tone generators which were additive. The carrier used the same one as the modulator, you can see this in the patent if you look. The operator on the modulator was using additive synthesis and only using the 1st Harmonic which produces a sine wave on the fundamental frequency it's set forcrimsonwarlock wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 6:27 pmYep, that was NOT what I said, but you tend to do this often.IvyBirds wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 5:11 pm Awesome so you agree with me then that the Synclavier has operators and your entire point was incorrect thanks for the admission

Sounds good, is easy and fun to use, and has been totally stable on my PC. Definitely worth the $34.Rabid wrote: Mon Jul 07, 2025 10:57 pm I've been a fan of GForce for a long time. Since the original Imposcar. After buying the very disappointing Icondrum I have become cautious. The sound of this reminds me of early FM synths that were offered at KVR 15 years ago. The pretty interface and excessive reverb does nothing for the raw sound. What is new is their release of a VST that crashes on my Mac. GForce is usually much better at finding problems before release. I will admit the release discount makes it a good price, but without good sound and stability it is not a good value.

Are you comparing Halogen FM with an $1100 more expensive HW synth?vitocorleone123 wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 1:57 am I’ll circle back to this at some point. It was fun to mess around and tweak stuff. I don’t understand why developers still release synths where you can’t lock the fx mix knob.
It got outclassed when I snagged a new Digitone 2 for $50 off list price from Perfect Circuit. Bargains are hard to come by.
And if you actually want to do real FM without the training wheels and deliberately crippled FM programming of the Digitone II return it immediately and get a copy of OPS7 or HALion7/FM Labvitocorleone123 wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 1:57 am I’ll circle back to this at some point. A totally useless post. If you want FM, get whatever you like.Artie Fichelle wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 2:21 pm A total useless synth. Meaning,if you want FM, get a better one.
Sure but then don't go back into a thread about a £33.00 plugin and crap on it because you purchased an expensive hardware synth that offered more features which it should because it costs over 30x morefoosnark wrote: Thu Jul 17, 2025 5:21 pmA totally useless post.
