I'm looking for a freeware VST plug-in that will tell me what frequencies are being played (The idea being to get a better idea of how to apply EQ) - like a graphical representation or something, but it has to be in real time, as the audio file is being played.
I've looked around a bit but can't find anything.
If anyone knows of something, that'd be great.

You might try Nick Whitehurst's FFT4VST.JumpingJackFlash wrote:I'm looking for a freeware VST plug-in that will tell me what frequencies are being played (The idea being to get a better idea of how to apply EQ) - like a graphical representation or something, but it has to be in real time, as the audio file is being played.

How about the "span" plugin from Voxengo?
It is free from their site and works great as a spectrum analyzer that works in real time for me here. I can also vouch for the rest of their plugins as very high quality that deliver great results for me here.
