AAS String Studio more capable than Strum?

It's my opinion,
after playing a lot of MIDI guitar
that AAS String Studio is better than Strum
because it has more range and sustain.

The range is large enough to transpose to any key,
and the sustain is near non-ending,
or the sustain is however much long

I'm having fun jamming to backing tracks,
and somehow my fav sound is guitar synth.
These 2 have many options,
and get a :tu:

If you want to do lead playing, then String Studio is the better of the two.

Strum can do string muting and in chord mode will generate chords which reflect how they would appear on a guitar fretboard, which makes it much better for rhythm playing. Unfortunately, while the feel is often right, the sound is not there. I typically only use Strum for generating ideas or as a placeholder. The only time it has ever made it to a track of mine I ended up running it through Vinyl and RC-20 where it did a convincing job of sounding like something I might have pulled from the sound track to an old Lone Ranger or Cisco Kid serial.

I were to choose a strummed guitar, I'd go with NI Strummed Acoustic series first.

yah,
I just play lead

I find Strum to sound top,
but the lack of infinite sustain is a detriment
-and I have to use a real-time pitch shifter to transpose
I use Amplitube's one for that

String Studio ticks all the check boxes

Do you have any lead plugin recommendations?
I can do samples as well as physically modelled

I can't help you with suggestions for sampled or physically modelled lead guitar. I prefer my own mediocre guitar playing.

Band In a Box is supposed to have some lead generation although I haven't really used that much.

It's been a long time since I played a normal electric guitar.
I'm curious how I'll find it after so much MIDI

The Orange Omec pedal would be nice for this

Today I'll plug an electric into my interface and see what it's like

Rock on Russ, ta

I wasn't actually aware of Band in a Box,
how interesting.
I am playing guitar though, albeit MIDI

I have an early version of String Studio that's almost 20 years old still sounds great...
