Awesome!
For me, Battalion is the best drum and percussion synth ever, so you definitely have my full support
Knowing that it's on the way is great.
Thanks!

Battalion is the most feature rich drum solution I've found with just about everything I could want in a all - income sequencing solution as well.
Glad to know its still being worked on! Would it be possible to share what other potential features or improvements might be in the works?

There is a beta section under support at https://www.unfilteredaudio.com/Igro wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 5:15 am The latest version that PA Plugin Manager gives is 1.0.7. Is that right? But some websites mention 1.1.1 and even 1.1.3? Where I can download the latest version?
*cpu is not especially better for me with the beta, fyi... tho my cpu is not very powerful.

Btw, PA manager has been updated too. Now there is an update option added to the menu (to update plugins).

The PA installation progam only shows 1.07, so is there an update somewhere or hasn't it been deployed yet?

Hi Amusemile. Could give a hint what number version is the latest one? Thanks.Amusesmile wrote: Tue Jul 22, 2025 4:57 pmHey, just wanted to chime in about the CPU usage. We did a really big overhaul to optimize it after launch in the first update. That's released now but if you haven't updated and you're getting hit by CPU usage, especially during silent patches, grab the latest. PA doesn't always make it super obvious that an update has been released. It's significant- something like a 7x CPU reduction when silent, and 60% reduction when playing.pekbro wrote: Fri May 23, 2025 12:18 am For me, Battalion runs at about 20-25% of the cpu in FLS (latest) on this modest Core i5.
In the latest Reaper it's about 5%, 20% in S1 ver 6, 30% in Live. So 20% avg for me.
Personally, I would rate Battalion at moderate to heavy in the cpu dept. Very usable still.
Cheers,

1.0.7 is pretty solid- that has all of the optimization I was talking about so CPU will be much reduced compared to 1.0.0. That was finished back in August but probably not released until a few months after. We have 1.1.3 internally, but that's largely iOS changes. 1.1.1 is what we started on with the iOS-compatible build so you're not super far behind. It has a few bug fixes and a new sampler mode. You can grab it on our beta page here if you're up for a manual install. Final release will have new presets and samples as well from the new sound designer we're working (mleuc) and sine by Keith Hillebrandt.Igro wrote: Wed Jul 23, 2025 4:14 pmHi Amusemile. Then let's just hope it won't take PA another year to release it when it's done
But it's great they at least finally put an update option in the manager - I tended to just do a full install of all my plugins every couple of months so far...

I appreciate that the update really cut the CPU load. The Plugin Alliance install manager kind of sucks though, it doesn't tell you what the current version is when you add something to your download queue. Even knowing that there was an update, I just had to hope that it was installing the newest version.

Yeah, it's funny.
That is the one thing an update manager is all about...
