Radio silence kinda implies they have gone into hiding or are avoiding communications or something, which hasn't happened. There's a Discord if you want micro-news and day-by-day happenings.

Their official website is on radio silence from months. Discord is THE thing I want to avoid (for a number of known reasons, I don't want to repeat myself, bla bla bla...).
It would be interesting to follow day by day news on this very intriguing topic - on a dear, old place called "public, official website". Before socials, 20 years ago we had plenty of that.

Their Discord is excellent, the best one I’m on. Plus, donators get access to the VIP section, which is less busy and perfect if you just want to stay up-to-date.

Yes, I know their decision to be on Discord, not to be offtopic, but...
In order to "take a look" to a single post on Discord, it's mandatory for you to :
- Have the "right" browser
- ...thus, the "right" updated OS in some cases, so you can download the "right" browser
- Give your birth day/date
- Train the AI for free, proving you're a human with feelings
- Give them your PHONE NUMBER (!!!) eheh
If something like that happened to the web 20 or 30 years ago, I ask myself what this guys had to say...

Anyway - no problem, it was just a question...

I also find Discord to be cumbersome. I do follow about 10 audio and retro computing forums on the platform but it seems to lack a traditional organizational structure that I can come to grips with. I also have had the impression (apparently wrong) that DSP563xx project has been rather quiet in the past few months. This is just an observation not a complaint. The project is impressive to say the least.

Definitely!
If there was a copycat of the Discord posts freely accesssible on the web (just for READING purposes), that would be great.
Or, if you want to MAKE a post or question on that thread, joining the Discord social is what you have to do.

They have been quiet by their standards for some time (longer than a vacation). I hope its for a good reason (something new) not a bad reason (something legal...) it's a truly amazing project.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

It's really strange. I had the idea that it might be because Novation plan to release a plugin version of the Supernova themselves (maybe in cooperation with Gforce Software), and, that they communicated with the DSP563 project to postpone their one, because, they already showed it in a video almost half a year ago, but, that's only a speculation.SLiC wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 9:59 am They have been quiet by their standards for some time (longer than a vacation). The DSP563 devs almost acted a bit insulted when I said that I assume that there isn't much to report in terms of news, because not much is going on at the moment.

It doesn't matter how good someone is on a platform when discord is that platform....Uncle E wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 7:59 am Their Discord is excellent, the best one I’m on. Plus, donators get access to the VIP section, which is less busy and perfect if you just want to stay up-to-date.

The DSP563 Devs do have to be careful as the 'emulation' development is a bit of a grey area to put it mildly...and the more successful/visible they get, the more likely that a company with hardware that is being emulated may take objection I guess. I think the guys tried to work officially with most of the companies, but who knows...

They definitely communicated with Waldorf, and also showed them an early development version of the microQ, but, they weren't interested to make it "official", as it performed too badly.SLiC wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 11:09 am The DSP563 Devs do have to be careful as the 'emulation' development is a bit of a grey area to put it mildly...and the more successful/visible they get, the more likely that a company with hardware that is being emulated may take objection I guess.
