DSP563xx Emulator (Access Virus, Nord Lead, Waldorf MW...)

Blofeld 1:1 preservation is handled by Waldorf itself, who re-released it 2 weeks ago in the virtual form. So Blofeld is not in "danger of extinction". It would be nice to see a DSPB56371 emulation just for educational purposes, as a proof-of-concept - or at least it would be interesting to learn a few more details about how the DSPB56371 differs from the Motorola DSP563xx family (I think it's just a matter of clock rate).
Is anyone aware of other hardware synthesizers using the DSPB56371 (except for the Blofeld desktop / keyboard)? I have strong doubts there are... the original Roland GAIA (2010) may be a potential candidate, but I don't think so.
Other than that, there's a lot of other "treasures" to discover and emulate, like the 300 Mhz Texas Instruments TMS320VC5502 (Radias) or the (far less compex) vintage coprocessors found in the XG devices from Yamaha (MU-50 like) - released 35 years ago, currently being takled by the MAME project...

Months and months of radio silence from the DSP563xx project... Any news ?

Months and months of silence are very misleading. Their Discord community is as strong as it has ever been. Daily activity. You need to realize people don't live on KVR, and this is not their single exclusive window to the public.

Thank you sir to tell me about the World... I didn't know there was something outside KVRAudio !
Discord is the most uneasy and obtrusive forum in the solar system (for a number of reasons I don't want to repeat). On several platforms, it's LITERALLY impossible to join a Discord channel... and unfortunately the DSP563xx official website (which is the only place I'm used to visit to learn more about it) is on radio silence from months.
This was the reason I politely asked for any news, but in this place - as always - any question is just an opportunity to fight...

NP I see you were living under a rock, so I told myself this fella needs some hand.xhunaudio wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 7:00 am Thank you sir to tell me about the World... I didn't know there was something outside KVRAudio !![]()
For you maybe. While at the same time, hundreds of thousands use it. Including the entity you said is silent.xhunaudio wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 7:00 am Discord is the most uneasy and obtrusive forum in the solar system (for a number of reasons I don't want to repeat).
You may be correct when you say "on several platforms," but you haven't said which one, so we can speculate, and it's useless in this contest anyway. Because the entity we talk about is not one of those - clearly.xhunaudio wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 7:00 am On several platforms, it's LITERALLY impossible to join a Discord channel...
Also, given your ignorance on Discord, I suspect that your "impossible" is just your way of trying to mask "I am being lazy and can't figure out how to click a button to join some unmentioned Discord community."
For your info, if you visit DSP 56300's official website, their Discord link is literally in the main Menu of the website. It says (surprise) - Discord.
Naaahhhh...We all saw what you did. You asked something following the argument that the DSP56300 movement was silent. Then I replied that it looks silent for you, but it is very active. On their Discord. Then you started your parade on reasons why you don't like Discord, which is not a problem of the entity you stated is being silent.xhunaudio wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 7:00 am This was the reason I politely asked for any news, but in this place - as always - any question is just an opportunity to fight...

Almost no one fights on the Discord. That’s actually something I’ve noticed about all the Discords I’m on, there are no fights anywhere. Maybe it’s because I’m only on fan Discords.

Agree, KVR is full of pointless, frivolous threads about what's better (fun though
, Discord is where I go for actual information (its where the developers are)
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Hi Uncle E, surely Discord is generally better than KVRAudio on "politeness". Moved the discussion on the Instruments section to avoid double posts.Uncle E wrote: Thu Jul 24, 2025 8:02 am Almost no one fights on the Discord. Discord posts are not indexed by any search engines. So it’s all hidden from the world. Whether it’s a good or bad thing depends on your view of sharing information.

Hello,
when using Osirus with Access Virus A or Virus B ROMs, is there a way to audit the factory demo songs?
On the hardware it's performed by clicking the Control + Edit and then Store buttons. Are these buttons present on Osirus too? (I can't find them).
Otherwise it would be very cool to add that feature (the buttons) in a next update. Demo songs audition is very important for preservation purposes.

An unlocked Yamaha MU2000 emulation (like my unlocked DB50XG combined with XG-Gold).xhunaudio wrote: Sat Dec 28, 2024 8:53 pm .. or the (far less compex) vintage coprocessors found in the XG devices from Yamaha (MU-50 like) - released 35 years ago, currently being takled by the MAME project...
To fully control the elements thru a custom editor would be awesome... (a man can hope)

I would ask something related to MAME, to real EXPERT people only. Please.
(Please notice I avoided to ask in the Instruments section, indeed).
Is there any structural limitation or obstacles in releasing the WHOLE MAME project as a virtual instrument/ effect VST, VST3, CLAP plugin ?
So, a VST, VST3, CLAP plugin of just a few megabytes calling all the SAME MAME external files/libraries/dependencies at Runtime, as it happens now with the MAME EXEcutable binary file.
Is it possible for MAME DEVS to make a plugin version of it without touching or rearranging the project itself? Basically by just adding the VST, VST3, CLAP binary files (along side the classic EXEcutable binary) to the MAME project's monthly release.
I'm trying to access the MAMEDEV official forum in order to ask but it seems new registrations are not allowed...
