My top 6:
LTL Silver Bullet mk2. I LOVE THIS.
bx_opto. A daily use plugin for me. I wish they'd update the GUI. (Daily due to AAX-DSP. If I didn't need that I might just use the NEOLD U2A instead.
NEOLD U2A. It's nice.
bx_glue. a neat comp with some nice tricks.
bx console SSL 4000 E. I've used this in a lot of live work. My favorite of their channels strips (I have them all, AAX-DSP has a big part in this decision)

What you can get with the newest offer of 4 I'd pick (if I didn't already have):
Lindell 345, MBC, 80, TE-100
Neold Old Timer, Wunderlich, Warble, Big Al, V76U73
TOMO Lisa
Amek 200
Knif Audio Soma
Ampeg SVT-VR
Gallien Krueger 800RB
I use and cherish all of these.

I haven't paid attention to the analog emulations coming out of PA for a while. I have some older ones and they were quite good at the time (and many still are) but the stuff from PA that has continued to interest me over time is the people who make unique, creative stuff like Unfiltered Audio with Silo and Battalion, not to mention Triad which was on sale for like 10 bucks recently.

Question about PA.
I don't have any PA stuff, but I just downloaded one of their 'free' items - bx_greenscreamer.
After making an account, when I tried to use it, I got an 'activate' box with a 14 day demo thing.
I didn't do it, but I'm wondering if it's really free, or is it just a demo?
Also, if you go to the trouble of downloading their manager to get the free 20 item bundle, is that really free, or just a demo?

Those are all really free. When you sign up you get licenses and those get deposited on your computer. If you are using a windows PC I recommend registering them to a flashdrive (not sandisk). I found that to be more reliable than registering them to my hard disc.
Anyway, they are definitely free and definitely not demos.
Enjoy them!

A couple caught my interest, but I already have most of what's there covered.
Still - can't complain about a decent free bundle.

Generally speaking, don’t.
I have 50 or so PA plugins and have tried pretty much all the rest, and only still have two still installed: metric AB and silver bullet mk2.
None of the rest have stood the test of time for me.
Most look pretty and sound okay. I’d rather use tools that I find to be great rather than okay.

A lot of the criticism of Plugin Alliance is justified (maybe more so from the Dirk era) but there is still a lot of value there.
Even though they are now part of Native Instruments, PA is a collective of independent developers -- many of whom have their own websites and distribution channels.
I've ready many, many posts about PA over the years, and ADPTR, Brainworx, Lindell, NEOLD, and Unfiltered Audio plugins are consistently lauded.
Lately, Three-Body Technology has been getting a lot of buzz, but they always seem to be excluded from the sales.
