In the 80s, I attended summer music camps for a week every year at the Stables, which was one of her and Mr Dankworth's properties that contained a performance stage and lots and lots of loaned equipment from her sponsors like Yamaha and so on. I got to play CS70 and EMS Synthi AKS and Wasps, as well as my own bass guitar, sax and violin. Formative years for me, and the highlight of every year, so I will always have a fondness for her and her sister-in-law Avril Dankworth who arranged those camps. And yes, what a wonderful smokey sexy voice! RIP.
