I didn’t notice this till today. Maybe I am not getting their newsletter? I’ll have to check on that.

Synapse Audio has updated DUNE 3 to v3.64. This update contains the following changes:
Extended support for MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE) controllers.
Range of UI Keyboard can now be set using the LEDs located above the pitch- and modulation wheels.
Time/Samples bar added to wave and wavetable editors.
Low Cut knob had no effect on "Cathedral" reverb type, fixed.
In Reason, in rare cases parameters were reset to default after a program changed, fixed.

continues to be one of my main 'go-to's. but no, i didn't get any email about it either. still, good to see an update roll out.

Did the demo get updated too?i re-downloaded but couldn’t find version info. Checked for different settings but don’t see anything so I’m guessing demo is not updated?

Post

Damn. I’m still hoping for the ability to make per voice adjustments when not in unison mode.

The download speed was horrible yesterday! It reminded me of the dial-up era!! Today is a little bit better at about 250KB! It seems Synapse Audio is still living in the past (90's era) in everything! :hihi:
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Bitwig 5, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Not yet, but I asked about it and he said it will be updated soon.

I downloaded the demo version in about 21 secs. I am in southwestern CT.

I downloaded from the user area (not the demo).
I'm located in Auckland/NZ. Anyway, it worth the wait as Dune 3 is a good synth.

Dune 3 has to be the most underrated soft synth of all time.
It's like it's just.. always flying under the radar for some reason.
It's a fantastic synth lol.

When it came out, it sounded like the closest thing to an Access Virus in a plug-in. Each new update has added useful improvements, and it’s a very stable instrument on my system. In fact, I don’t remember Dune ever crashing on any of my Macs.

And although it may not have certain synthesis types, which are very trendy right now, it’s still relevant for any style of electronic music. It sounds great, and is a lot of fun to program. MPE functionality is what many were hoping for, so thank you Synapse Audio!! 8)

IIRC I think it’s had MPE functionality for a couple of years.

Ahh, I believe you may be right. I’ve been paying closer attention to the protocol because I’d like to get a controller to be able to experience it for myself. The update lists “extended MPE support” which suggests to me that there was support to begin with. Thanks for the correction. :tu:

I am curious what was extended about the MPE functionality. Can't check as I only have the demo. I have noticed that MPE works in Mono Legato mode in The Legend HZ, which it doesn't in Obsession or Dune, so maybe that's an improvement if they made it more like Legend HZ.

Anyone know what additional MPE stuff there is in Settings?
